Epilogue

Stephen Montelaxa's POV

It's been a month and 2 weeks, I think, since I asked her again for second chance. And up until now she didn't give me an answer. But it's okay, 'cause like I always said to her, I'm willing to wait, even if it takes days, weeks or years. I just can't lose her again this time.

But this past few days is kinda torture for me 'cause I didn't had a chance to come to their house and visit them. Biglaan kasing nagkaproblema sa opening ng bagong business ko. Kaya naging busy ako at hindi na ako nakakadalaw kay kina Melody at Nathan.

At ngayon, kasalukuyan akong nandito sa isang private room ng isa sa restaurant na pagmamay-ari ko, with my business partners.

"Okay, we're done for today. Just continue to update me for further informations" I said to them and says my good byes to them. They did the same and walk out.

Napahilot ako sa sentido ko ng makaalis silang lahat at tanging ako na lamang ang natira dito. What a tiring day.

I sighed, and I was about to arrange all the papers I have in the desk when my phone suddenly rang. Kinuha ko ito at tinignan ang caller's ID. It's Melody

Excitement feels my entire human being when I saw her name appeared in my phone's screen. How I miss this lady.

Hindi na ako nagsayang pa ng oras, and I immediately answered it. "Hi" I greeted.

(H-hello) she greeted back. I suddenly raised my eyebrow. Did she just stammered? I think I heard her stammering. But why?

"How have you been? And why did you call? Did something happened?" Okay I sounded like a reporter there. Too many questions.

(I'm fine. No, nothing happened. I just.. ) she said and suddenly cut her words like she's doubting if she'll tell me or not.

"Just what? Come on Melody, tell me. Don't be shy" Tell me you missed me and you need me right now. That's what I wanted to hear coming out to her mouth.

I heard her sighed from the other line. (Could you come here in my shop? I wanted to tell you something)  she said, na may halong kaba sa boses niya. Bakit naman siya kinakabahan? But, in the other hand, I secretly smiled on what she said.

She didn't say what I wanted. But, what she just said right now, parang ganun na rin ang gusto niyang iparating sa akin. Saka ano naman kayang importanteng bagay ang gusto niyang sabihin?

"Yeah sure. I'll be there in 20 minutes" pagkasabi ko nun dali-dali kong iniligpit ang mga papel na nagkalat sa mesa at tumayo na.

(Okay. See you)  she said and hang up.

I didn't waste any minute, may binilin lang ako sa Assitant Manager ko at saka na naglakad palabas ng restaurant at sumakay sa kotse ko.

Katulad ng sinabi ko kay Melody, nakarating ako sa shop slash house niya less than 20 minutes. Pinark ko na ang kotse ko at bumaba na.

Naglakad ako palapit sa shop, at nadatnan ko itong nakasarado pero nakabukas ang ilaw niya. Ang aga naman yata nilang magsarado ngayon?

Maglalakad na sana ako papunta sa gate nila, ng may mapansin akong nakasabit sa doorknob na isang white board at may nakasulat na. 'Mr. Stephen Montelaxa, please proceed to the garden'
