"Come quick!! We have intruders!!" A clan member awoke us hurriedly. I looked to Damien who looked at me too. We jumped up and ran to see what was happening.
The look outs had spotted two men, possibly vampires on their way to our camp. I looked to Damien and he understood. I took some binoculars I had bought and checked. I was right. I nodded to Damien and we went to the council tabll quickly. They had already being summoned and were waiting.
"Right, so we have Michael and Luke approaching for a reason we don't know about." I coughed to stop Damien. They all looked to me and I stepped forward.
"I know their intention, all we have to do is set up a line of defence, send me and Damien out to talk with them. I know too well how they work so I can handle this. We need a signal if I need assistance..." Damien stepped back and allowed me to take control. He was in awe.
Within ten minutes I had a full plan put together and we were preparing for the unknown. We stood in front of the huge gates and waited for a signal to say they were near. I gave to binoculars to a trusty friend and patted her on the back, she said good luck then I jumped down from the look out. Tension was building, the clan was worried, I stood defensive and waiting.
The signal was given, taking a breath and a reassuring squeeze of the hand from Damien, I focused on the task and walked out of the camp. Damien at my side, we approached Michael and Luke. I felt like someone had hit me across the chest with a police baton but I perservered.
They approached us slowly but confidently. I was prepared but pushed everything to the back of my mind. I quickly looked around them as we stood opposite each other in silence. "You alone?" I asked first.
"Yes, you can trust us." He smirked. I laughed under my breath. I gave a small signal to put the others on alert.
"I hope so." I was stood in front of Michael and Damien in front of Luke.
"We're here to give you a warning."
"A warning about what?" I inquired. He sent a telepathic message and I understood. "Ohh."
Michael moved forwards towards me. Damien moved too but I put my hand on his chest reassuringly without looking at him, he knew and stood down again. He stared at Michael with a death stare. Michael smirked at me.
"You have him well trained I must say, well done." I restrained Damien again.
"Shut up and just say what you came here to say." He bowed his head slightly and stepped forward. Walking towards me, Damien on edge ready to jump in, Michael touched my hair. Tucking it behind my ear, sending an unpleasant shiver up my spine. He walked slowly around me checking my whole body out then stood right in front of me, too close in fact.
"Ity seems that you have done well for yourself here." He whispered into my ear. "Shame because now I have to steal you back."
"What makes you think you can do that?"
"Oh I don't think I can, I know. You will be mine again and I won't stop until that happens, a lot of people are searching for you, I can't hold them back for too long. You've seen he conditions in that place, you know what he'll do to you. However, if you come with me now, tyou'll spare a lot of lives and time. I can give you what you need and want. Probably more satisfactorily than he can.
Anger rippled through me. I grabbed Michael's chin and made him look at me. "Leave Damien out of this, its between me and you and for your information, he is more than satisfactory, better than you even!" I realised after what I had just blurted out. Expectedly, his hand smashed against my face knocking me aback slightly. I grabbed my cheek then straightened up and moved back.
"You will obey me."
"And if I refuse?"
Grabbing my neck, he twisted me back bending my spine, digging his nails into my neck, he smirked at me. I reached out to warn Damien off, knowing the consequences if I didn't. "I think you know what will happen." I lifted me back up and pushed me backwards and straightened up.
"Maybe I do, but let me ask you this, why lead them to me when you didn't want to let them get near me?"
"I used them I admit, to not be hunted by them and to gain their trust, its easy when your this powerful." He winked.
"Well, I'm afraid, I must decline your easy route, I wouldn't be a fighter if I didn't fight!" Glancing at Damien I knew what would happen.
"I see, you and him now is it? That was quick, moved on from your Luke alright then? He's heartbroken poor lad." He got close to my face. I swung.
Catching my wrist and breaking my arm in seconds. Michael continued to twist so I couldn't move. I made no noise only closed my eyes in pain. "No Damien!"
"Lizzie!"
"No! Don't!"
"See, I'm more powerful than any of you and I will come back for you, I promise you." I kicked out and collided with his stomach. He cursed then threw me against a tree. I stood up in agony and walked back over to him, blood dripping from my wounds. Michael's eyes widened and he walked towards me. Damien grabbed Luke as he too went towards me. Michael grabbed my neck and lifted me off the ground and against the tree.
"I'll never stop fighting, you can hurt me all you want but you're never going to get me." I chocked.
"Oh you think do you?"
"No, I know." He laughed slightly. I swung again and hit him in the face. He cursed again, dropping me to the floor and jumping on top of me. I held his arms away from my neck as he tried to strangle me. Instead he pinned me down so I couldn't move. His face was now very close. I turned away.
"See, wasn't too hard was it, if only there wasn't an audience. Look at me!" He shouted. I did as he said. He then proceeded to bite my neck. I tried to push him off but it was no use.
"Michael, get off me or you'll have nothing to get back." He pulled away immediately, spraying my blood everywhere. Damien held Luke back.
"What?"He wiped away my blood. I saw my chance and pushed him over so I was on top of him.
"You leave here now, I have heard what you came here for and now we go our separate ways."
He grabbed my neck and pulled my head to the side of his.
"Has he had you yet? I couldn't stop myself if he did and I'd definitely have to put that right when I get you back."
"I told you earlier." I sat up and got off of him, he was vexed but contained himself. He pulled Luke from Damien and walked off. I watched them walk away. Once out of sight we went back into the camp and barred the gate.
I collapsed to the floor, The clan gathered except the ones on watch. "Your so strong and brave Lizzie."
"Thanks." I smiled. I got to my feet.
"Lizzie, are you alright, I should have stopped him, its my fault."
"No, don't be silly of course its not your fault."
I walked to the council tent. "We need to start on plans straight away, he won't wait, possibly until my arm is better, he knows what he has done, lord knows he has it all planned out."
"Lizzie, stop, you need to get your arm sorted, stop working, we can sort this, I'll do it for you just go and get it sorted now!" Damien demanded. I sighed.
"Fine then." I exclaimed.
