Going home

"What happen to your hand? You're bleeding." Thalia looked worriedly at percy.

"It's nothing, just a few cuts. The blood will dry eventually."

"Do you know the cut is deep??!! You can see that, right? come on, we have to help you clean up that wound."

" Where are we heading to?"

"Annabeth's house of course! right, annabeth?"

Annabeth nodded.

Then we walk down the streets towards Annabeths house.

"She doesn't talk much, does she?"

Percy ask Thalia.

"She's just sad." Annabeth walked infront of Thalia and Percy, ignoring the conversation they had about her.

"Why?" Percy being suspicious as always.

"Her dad just hit her and she just ran out of the house" Thalia explain.

"Another abusive family" muttered percy.

"What? Oh! no! Annabeth's dad not abusive. He loves Annabeth. It's just because Annabeth accidentally broke one of his wood plane, then he got angry, just like that."

"Ow.. what about you?"

"What about me?"

"Your family."

"Ow.. my mother died 2years ago when I was 5"

"Ow.. I'm so sorry"

"It's okay. now I'm living in an orphanage, but I always visit annabeth, she's my best friend"

"We're here" annabeth said. she walk infront of the door and knock.

A man with blond hair and brown eyes open the door. "Annabeth!!!" he knelt down and hug annabeth, but annabeth did not hug back. "Frederick, who is that?" a woman with brown hair and grey eyes asking as she walk out from the kitchen.

"Mommy!!!" annabeth ran from her fathers embrace and ran to her mother. "Annabeth!! honey,where have you been??" She hug annabeth and kiss her forehead.

"Oh Thalia, come on in and who is this young man?" For the first time, Frederick realize Thalia and Percy at the door.

"This is P..."

"I'm Percy Jackson, sir"

"Ow.. hi, Per- what happen to your hand?"

"It's no big deal. it's just a few cuts."

"Come on in, let's get your wound clean up" as percy and Thalia walk in. "ow, who is this?"annabeth's mother ask.

"Percy saved us mommy"

"Ow.. how about I make some food for you guys while Frederick clean up the wounds on Percy's hand"

"Thank you ms.chase" Thalia thank annabeth's mother.

"Your welcome, and Thalia I told you you can call me Layla."

"Um.. thanks Layla." Layla went to the kitchen and Frederick bring out the first aid kit.

"So, what happen?" Frederick ask the kids as he started to clean Percy's wound. "well, annabeth call me when she ran out of the house and........." Thalia explain what had happen to mr.chase. Annabeth kept quiet all the time.

"Here is some cookies and lemonade" Layla holding a tray of food walking towards the children. the kids started to eat hungrily, but percy eat even faster than Thalia and Annabeth as he did not taste such delicious food a long time ago.

"Slow down, or else you will choke yourself" Layla told percy.

"It's too delicious" percy saying with his mouth full of cookies so it sounded like " isth shoo delisious" all of them started to laugh.

"Annabeth, I'm so sorry for hitting you this morning, can you forgive me?" Frederick apologies to annabeth as she's still eating her cookie

"Daddy, I'm sorry for playing with your plane without permission"annabeth look guiltily at her lemonade.

"It's okay sweatheart, I can build another one anytime. but I only have 1 daughter and that is you, so I'm sorry"frederick guiltily walk over to annabeth and hug her. This time, annabeth hug back "Daddy...."

"So.. percy, where do you live? at least let us drive you home as a form of thank you for saving annabeth and Thalia" Layla breaking the silence.

Percy flinch as he heard the question. he doesn't want to go home, he doesn't want to go back to Gabe. he was afraid.

"Percy, where do you live?" Frederick ask once more.

Percy's scared that the Chase family will send him back. Percy started to sweat and tears were started to form in his eyes. so, he do the only thing he can do.

He ran out of the house.
