High School

Hey!! I'm back!! Sorry for not updating but I had exams. So, I just want to thank @Dandydog9 for commenting on my last chapter!! It really means a lot to me :) other than that, I want to thank others like @Khione-23411, @Percabeth_Forever16 and @Percabethloverr22 (If I didn't include your name , I'm sorry, there's too many notifications) for voting my story. Annabeth P.O.V

After my mom pulled back from the hug, she was looking surprised at Miss Jackson. "Mommy, this is Percy's mother." I explained.

She was still staring at Miss Jackson with her jaw slightly hung open. I followed her gaze and realized that Miss Jackson was also looking at my mum with a smile plastered on her face.

There was a moment of silence.

"Sally...?" my mum questioned. The atmosphere was weird as if my mum just saw her long lost friend. Sally nodded and a smile appeared on her face.

They rushed forward and hugged each other. Percy was standing behind his mother awkwardly, and I believe that I look shocked myself.

My mom somehow realize the three of us was standing there awkwardly. "Oh.. I'm so sorry, I'm being rude. Let's get in the house." she pulled back from Miss Jackson and gesture all of us to get in.

They continue to chat in the living room while the three of us were just listening. It turns out that my mom and Miss Jackson was high school friends but they parted their ways to attend their university. "Why didn't I meet you at school on parents' day?" my mom asked. "I'm not sure. Maybe I was busy talking with other parents." Miss Jackson answered but I can see through her eyes that she is still thinking about the reasons she didn't meet her long lost friend earlier.

They kept talking about the funny things happened in their high school and I'm getting bored of listening to them. See! I have this ADHD and I can't pay attention to things very long. At least for one thing, BOOKS. I don't know why, but I really love reading. Sometimes I even feel like I entered a new world when I'm reading.

"Mommy? Is Percy still going to stay with us?" Although we aren't very close, but I still feel sad for him to leave. Okay, I know what you're thinking right now, but it's not like that!! It's just because I don't have any siblings and that make me felt lonely. My mom was looking at Miss Jackson like she's expecting an answer. "I'll bring Percy to visit you guys sometimes." She answered and turned to look at Percy. He just nodded.

"Can we watch a movie?" I questioned, trying to break the tension I had just built. Besides, it's for the sake of Thalia and Percy because I can see that they are bored too. My mom looked at me and realized we're bored of their conversation. "Of course! I think I'll go prepare dinner. Sally? Please stay for dinner. We still had a lot to talk." my mom smiled at Miss Jackson as she started to stand up and walk towards the kitchen. "I think I'll go help her, you guys stay here and watch some movie, okay?" Three of us nodded and Miss Jackson walk towards the kitchen.

"So... What do you guys want to watch?" Thalia walk to the corner of the living room where we put the DVDs. "High school musical!" "Finding Nemo!" Percy and I said at the same time. I was surprised when he said he want to watch high school musical. "Aren't you girls like to watch High school musical?" Percy asking us while looking at me. I was annoyed by his question. Yeah, most of the girls love watching High school musical but that doesn't mean I can't choose other movies.

Suddenly a question rang in my head. Why did I choose Finding Nemo? Is it because Percy is leaving so I want to watch his favourite movie with him? My cheeks turned pink when I listened to my own answer. "I THOUGHT YOU LIKE FINDING NEMO!!" I didn't even realize that I was shouting. He become silent. It's like I accidentally pressed a mute button and the whole living room turned quiet all of a sudden. That's when I realized Thalia was watching us like we're playing a game of table tennis and waiting for a victory.

The silent was broken when my mom and Miss Jackson walk in. "What's going on? I heard you guys arguing and suddenly turned silent after a second." She raised an eyebrow looking at us, expecting for an answer. Miss Jackson walked to Percy and knelt in front of him. "What happened honey?" cupping Percy's cheek with her left hand. "Nothing... We just don't know which movie to decide..." He reply in a low voice, just like a child expect his mother to forgive him after he had done something wrong. "Oh..." Miss Jackson then move closer to Percy and said something at his ear. The voice was too soft that I can't even hear a single word. I just keep seeing Percy nodding his head.

After Miss Jackson had finished talking to Percy, he walked to Thalia. "I think we'll watch Finding Nemo" I was shocked when he said that. What did Miss Jackson said to him that made him change his mind, because one thing I know about Percy is that he can be very stubborn at times.

Percy and Thalia put the disc in and came sit beside me. "You kids be good to each other, okay? call us if you guys need anything." with that, my mom and Miss Jackson walked towards the kitchen again while laughing their heads off. I wonder what they're laughing at. Probably something funny at their high school.
