act 1, scene 3
min yoongiJIMIN stared.
"but your hair is minty." he pointed to the other's bright hair, which was a big contrast to his own black hair.
"yes. i am water." the male replied back.
jimin's face screwed up into that of unadulterated bewilderment. his palms covered flat against his face and he let out a loud scream, thankfully muffled.
the stranger tilted his head to the side like a lost puppy. he then put his own hands to his face, like jimin, and mimicked his scream.
jimin was startled and stumbled backwards a little bit. "what are you doing?" he asked the boy, a little bit more harsh than intended.
"this is how you communicate, is it not."
they had a mini staring contest. the stranger was observing jimin, while jimin was lost out of his mind.
the forest continued to sing songs as if the world were still completely normal. but then it dawned upon jimin, that the world was still completely normal. and as long as this was so, jimin was confident he could figure out what to do with the stranger from the pond.
he gathered his utensils and sketchbook, setting them in his backpack once again and slung it over his shoulders. "come on," he took the mint haired male by the hand, "let's get you to a police station."
he made the move to lead the way towards where he first entered, but he nearly had his arm yanked off when the boy behind him stayed still. "this is kidnapping, jimin."
"how did you—?"
the boy simply pointed to the tag on jimin's bag. on the face of it was a stitched tag spelling out jimin's full name. "oh," he said sheepishly. "well, what's your name then?"
"name?"
this time jimin was patient with the strange boy. he explained with a calm, almost motherly tone. "what are you called?" he asked again, hoping the other would understand.
jimin smiled brightly when the male's face lit up in comprehension. he pointed to his chest before making a series of random clicks of different intonations with his tongue.
it was silent. jimin mentally face-palmed.
"ok," jimin said slowly, "let's call you yoongi. min yoongi." the boy, yoongi, nodded in agreement.
"then," yoongi's voice was still low and gruff, "are you min jimin?" his eyes were wide with expectation.
jimin felt the warmth spread up to his neck and wrap around his ears to the high of his cheeks.
"no." he shook his head. "my name is park jimin. if we were related or married, then i would be min jimin."
while explaining this to yoongi, jimin made sure the grip on his hand was tight enough so he didn't loose him while walking back to the city. he'd been in the woods for about two and a half hours now, and the sun was just beginning to go down.
"let us get married." yoongi's sudden exclamation caused jimin to abruptly look over his shoulder at him. from the sudden action and not paying attention, he nearly stumbled over a log.
jimin sighed before continuing to weave in and out of the trees and bushes. "you don't know what marriage is, do you?"
"it is friendship, is it not?" jimin realized yoongi spoke weird. the way he structured his sentences was like that of an alien—maybe he was an alien?
"marriage is commitment. marriage is a promise."
"okay," yoongi said to himself, "so you marriage to bring me back to the pond?" he tugged at jimin's hand in order to get his attention.
the trees soon opened up and the sky was once again visible. the canopies and willows were now far behind. the butterflies, squirrels, and frogs were keeping to themselves now.
yoongi stared at the city around him and jimin couldn't help but watch the different emotions displayed on his face. soon, the wonder and confusion dropped, and the stranger held a stony stoic expression.
yoongi turned to jimin, "the trees are metal here?" the question was spat at him. he sounded almost annoyed; accusing, even.
"those are buildings, yoongi," jimin was now growing more concerned. he felt immense pity for the boy who hadn't let go of his hand and was just staring at the busy sight. "how long have you been in that forest?"
the question was rhetorical. after all, he didn't necessarily expect an answer.
but when yoongi answered, "since time", jimin brushed it off.
he figured the other meant since his birth, since yoongi lacked basic knowledge in some areas.
"then how old are you?"
it seemed as if the world had quieted down. most of the noise muted and muffled like being underwater. yoongi turned to face jimin in a way that made the other highly uncomfortable.
the dark eyes that stared back at him seemed to hold a depth unplaceable and inconceivable to jimin. and so, it made sense when yoongi stated he was older.
at least the boy knew that about himself.
"alright, min yoongi." jimin swing their arms back and forth before stepping onto the sidewalk. "let's get you to a police station."

i realized i made yoongi's situation v v v vague, but if you think he's human than yous wrong af
