bathtub

"SO are you going to explain?"

the wooden door to jimin's small apartment shut with a soft click. his window curtains were drawn back from earlier, allowing the setting sun to emit golden rays of dusty pink and somber purples into the room.

he threw his backpack down onto a chair by the door and watched yoongi walk into the living room.

"no," yoongi took in jimin's furniture and decorations, "i just needed an excuse to get in your home."

jimin stood in bewilderment, unable to fight the bemused expression he wore.

yoongi's attention was drawn to a piano tucked neatly in the corner of the room. his gaze on it was intense and jimin felt mildly concerned.

"min jimin." yoongi got his attention with the name he insisted on using. this time, jimin had no energy to correct him.

"can i sleep in your tub?"

"what?" jimin's words were pronounced precisely having every bit of astonishment and agitation laced into them.

"your marriage to return me to my pond was a false. i need a place to sleep. lead me to your bathroom, kid." he patted jimin on the back, a sign for him to 'get a move on'.

"you're not sleeping in my tub, hell," jimin scoffed, "you're not even sleeping in my house." he narrowed his eyes at the boy in what was supposed to be a threatening way.

yoongi thought he looked like a squirrel.

"who the fuck are you, man?" jimin pushed yoongi closer to the door just in case he had to make a quick move and throw him out.

"min yoongi." the boy nodded, wondering why jimin was confused when he literally gave him the name itself.

"okay, min yoongi," jimin emphasized with malice. "what are you then?"

he meant for the question to hit like a blow. he wanted to maybe even offend the other, despite the part of his mind reminding him that yoongi probably didn't even understand what getting offended was.

but the answer yoongi gave was nothing jimin could've imagined. "not a man," he said. "stronger. better. more equipped. and if you dare push me again, i'll eat you—"

jimin cowered back.

"—and not in a good way."

short chapter bc i updated like 2-3 times already today, but i like this book. it's weird and fluffy like me
