act 4, scene 1
yoongi?

JIMIN felt disoriented when he came to. early dawn strewn across his room in pale colors. he sat up in his bed with a rhythmic ache in his head and behind his eyes.

his throat was dry and it felt as if something sharp had crawled it way out of it. he coughed a few times before stripping the covers away from his sweaty legs and heading towards his kitchen.

he poured himself a full glass of water and downed it completely, hoping to rid himself of the raw feeling starting from his lungs upwards.

once the sensation died down to a slight burn every time he swallowed, he set the cup in his sink.

the inkling feeling of something being off shot through his nerves, and though he tried his hardest to ignore it, he couldn't. with an annoyed huff of his breath, he walked towards his bathroom. he peeked his head through the doorway and frowned.

yoongi wasn't there.

"yoongi?" jimin called loudly, the strange boy's name echoing throughout the small apartment. the items that the older used to color with were neatly put away and there was no trace of him having ever been in the home.

"oh, fuck." jimin swore, grabbing his keys from the basket on the counter beside his front door, and sprinting out the house.

he was halfway down his floor's hallway before he stopped to run back to his door, "wait—" he called go no one in particular, fumbling with the metal in his hands to lock his apartment door.

when he finally succeeded, he ran back down the hallway and towards the elevator.

_____

he felt like an idiot.

he was practically doing a walk shame back to the same spot he met the boy—if he could even call him that—in the woods.

jimin couldn't come up with a reason as to why he was going to see yoongi again, but he felt like he had to. he was a kind person and there was guilt eating away at him for how he treated yoongi.

he wondered how he got back into his room and when he even fell asleep, but those were details that didn't necessarily matter at the moment. what did matter, however, was the fact that he snapped at yoongi when the older was trying to help him.

granted, the weirdo kid was a very questionable presence and if jimin had half a mind, he'd leave the older alone.

but there was something unfinished between the two of them that jimin couldn't just settle with: yoongi had scaled wings and a tail, along with his other friends.

with great determination, jimin stepped into the foliage of the woods and began his trek towards the willow trees and hidden pond.
