act 10, scene 3
is it still for science if i want to kiss you?

PARK jimin had a difficult time breathing properly around min yoongi.

it became increasingly difficult once he noticed how deep his feelings for the older boy ran.

the little things seemed to clutch his heart in an unforgiving chokehold, squeezing relentlessly until he had to physically force himself to look away: yoongi's ghost of a smile when doing simple tasks such as making his side of the bed, or folding away his clothes into a little compartment of jimin's wardrobe drawer.

the way his cheeks tinged with a splash of color from overexerting himself, or even from a few glasses of wine. the soundless bouts of laughter that came from the result of jimin being clumsy, or saying something just a little bit dumb.

each day that passed gave jimin a harder time in controlling how loud his heart beat for the boy with electric blue hair and sugar honey eyes.

"min-min," jimin called, shuffling into the apartment and toeing off his shoes, "I'm home and I bought snacks."

recently, jimin had gotten a new job. he'd gone months living off the wages he'd saved up from his last, well-paying one, but as the funds decreased with the extra body he now had to take care of, he knew he'd have to start finding another source of income soon.

a few weeks ago, he'd applied to work part-time at a daycare a few blocks away from where he lived. he worked from nine to twelve, helping out with a nice, younger lady by the name of sooyoung. he even caved and let yoongi get a small job as well, which he, at first, was wary about.

yoongi worked from out of their cozy, mango apartment. he taught elementary students how to play the little white piano that sat in the corner of the living room.

jimin was slightly concerned with the fact that yoongi, whose korean and speaking skills teetered on the edge of questionable, wouldn't be able to communicate with kids. however, he was proven wrong, which he should've expected. yoongi never ceased to amaze him, leaving him in a perpetual state of surprise.

bounding out from their room with sluggish steps, yoongi came to greet him. "did you have a good day?" he asked, taking jimin's coat from his arms, "did the little ones behave?"

this was habitual. it was the beginning of march and only seeming to get colder. jimin would arrive home no later than twelve fifteen in the afternoon, yoongi would awake from sleeping sometime around eleven and would be conscious enough to welcome him, taking his coat, or thermos, or whatever extra thing jimin had with him.

it was all too habitually domestic, and jimin couldn't help but want this to be an eternal cycle of events.

humming out a confirmation, jimin thanked yoongi and instantly warmed up to the heater blasting soothing air throughout the living space. "do you have a schedule today, yoonie?" nicknames became a constant between the two as well.

the curtains were drawn wide; something the both of them had a shared preference of. they liked the way the sun made their home look like summer regardless of the nipping chill from the outside world. it was like their own realm of happiness where anything they believed would come true.
