I woke up in the hospital. I was surrounded by everyone. Ryan and Pete were sitting on chairs looking pretty pale faced. Patrick was sitting on the floor with his eyes closed. Dallon was crying on the floor. Jon and Spencer were sitting their trying to get him to stop crying. Brendon was no where to be found. I groaned trying to sit up. Everyone one looked at me.
"Oh my god you're okay!"
"Thank god you're awake!"
"I was so scared!" I was bombarded with people talking and hugging me.
"Where's Brendon?" I couldn't help but ask. Patrick pulled back the curtain separating the one big room into two little rooms. He was on the bed sleeping.
"He has a broken nose but he's fine. Just sleeping it off a little." Ryan said. I noticed Dallon standing back from everyone. I nodded giving him a small smile. He ran over to me hugging me so tight I thought I was gonna snap in half.
"I'm so sorry Avery!" He cried into my shoulder. I patted his back, I've never seen Dallon this upset over anything.
"It's okay Dallon!" I said hugging him. I scooted over and he sat down next to me on the bed, smiling a small smile at me.
"So what happened?" I asked really anyone.
"You ran out and Pete and I found you on the floor bleeding a lot. So Pete wrapped his shirt around your foot to stop some of the bleeding." Ryan said.
"Yeah you sorta ruined my shirt with all your blood." Pete said holding up his shirt covered in blood.
"Sorry!" I mumbled holding in a laugh.
"But I drove you here and they had to take a huge chunk of glass out of your foot. It missed your nerve by half an inch. So you're gonna be on crutches. You might also have to do some sort of physical therapy after you recover." Pete explained.
"Ugh." I groaned. I laid my head on Dallon's shoulder. The nurse walked in.
"You're awake!" she said I nodded and smiled.
"You two can both leave once you're signed out." she said taking the IV from my arm.
"Thank you!" everyone said. She smiled and left. Pete went and signed us out.
"Want a ride?" Dallon asked referring to his back.
"Yes!" I said climbing onto his back. He looped his arms around my legs and I wrapped my arms loosely around his neck. Ryan woke Brendon up and the the two of them walked out together while Ryan carried my crutches.
"So are things between you and Brendon super awkward and tense now?" I whispered to Dallon.
"No we talked something's over, he told me something but its a surprise!" Dallon said.
I learned they drove two cars to the hospital so I was laying in the back seat of one with my head in Ryan's lap. Dallon was driving and Pete was on his phone playing Fall Out Bird. Patrick, Jon, Spencer and Brendon were in the other car.
We sat in silence while Ryan played with my hair and I just rested my eyes. The nurse said my pain medication would make me sleepy. The first show I was attending is tonight. I think Dallon planned on staying with me while I was on the tour due to my foot.
"Avery?" Ryan said.
"Hmm?" I hummed half asleep.
"We're back at the venue." he said.
"Mhm-k" I said rolling over and falling completely asleep.
I woke up a few hours later spread across a couch someone was twirling my hair around their finger. I looked up at Pete. Dallon and Patrick were sitting on the other couch with their eyes closed.
"Where'd Ryan go?" I asked.
"They had to rehearse." Pete explained.
"Oh okay. Hey Pete!" I mumbled.
"Yeah?" he asked.
"Thanks for saving me." I patted his cheek with my hand.
"You're welcome!" he laughed. I sat up and got up on one foot and crutching towards the door.
"Where are you going?" he asked.
"To get some fresh air!" I said and left. I looked for an exit. I found a door that led outside and I distinctively smelt cigarette smoke. I looked to my right and saw Brendon sitting their with his face buried in his hands.
"Shouldn't you be rehearsing?" I asked.
"Shouldn't you be resting or at least mad at me?" he asked looking at me.
"I can't be mad at you forever, your my Brendon so I might as well skip the being mad part and be your friend again." I shrugged sitting next to him. He took a drag from the cigarette and breathed out the smoke.
"That's really bad for you, you know." I said turning to face him. He nodded.
"You should probably quit." I sighed.
"I probably should." he shrugged finishing off the cigarette.
"But you're not going to?" I asked.
"Correct!" he shrugged he looked at me. I lightly traced his lip with my thumb.
"Sorry about your face." I said. He laughed. I moved my hand to the side of his face. I slowly leaned in and gently kissed his swollen lips. He pulled away. I nodded.
"I will uh, see you later Brendon." I said getting up and trying to get back inside as quick as I could but the crutches weren't helping.
"Avery wait!" he stood up and running up behind me. I turned around.
"Why would you kiss me? Isn't that what all this is about?" he asked referencing his face.
"Because you're not drunk, I wanted to see if you'd kiss back. But you didn't just like I knew you wouldn't." I sighed.
"I didn't kiss you back because I had no plan of getting punched in the face anymore, at least not today!" he said and I smiled a little bit. He leaned in and kissed me but this time no one pulled away until they needed to.
"It doesn't matter if I'm drunk or not my feelings for you don't change. I still like you Avery. I actually like you no amount of alcohol could change that!" he stroked my cheek. I smiled.
"Well that's good because I like you too Brendon." I said smiling.
"Now since I like you and all and you like me, Avery will you be my girlfriend?" Brendon asked.
"Nah!" I smiled at him.
"Well that was a horrible rejection!" Brendon said putting his hand on his chest where his heart would be.
"Try again!" I giggled. Brendon smirked getting up he ran off into the building and came back 5 minutes later holding something behind his back.
"Avery Clark will you please do me the honor of being my girlfriend?" He asked on his hands and knees. I started laughing at him and he looked up and winked at me.
"I've only imagined this happening in my head a hundred and one times. But this definitely tops the charts. Yes Brendon Urie ill be your girlfriend." I laughed.
He pulled a rose out from behind his back handing it to me. Then he pulled out one of those plastic things you get from the quarter machines. He opened it and it was a cheesy little bead bracelet that said the word forever on it. He slid it on my wrist and tackled me in a hug.
"Well I'm glad!" he said and kissed the tip of my nose. He picked me up in his arms picking up my crutches too. I laughed as he carried me inside like a baby.
He walked us into the dressing room sitting down with me on his lap. Everyone in the room gave us strange looks, except for Dallon. Brendon nodded at Dallon and Dallon just laughed shaking his head.
