[Song of the Chapter : Sweet Creature by Harry Styles ]

I was so excited that I didn't sleep well.
I woke up to my phone ringing. I groaned and searched for it with my hands, throwing them away in every direction. When I finally got a hold of it, I answered, without looking at the Caller ID. "Hello," I said, my voice week.
"Rose? Are you asleep? You're going to be late for school. Come on, get dressed, I'm taking you today," I hummed, as the person hung up.
I took a breath, still closing my eyes. How nice, hearing such a voice in the morning. Waking me up. Telling me to get ready for school. I suddenly missed my dad, he always wakes me up. Since I have this habit of mysteriously turn off the alarm without even knowing that I did so. Then, my dad would drive me to school in his work car–. school. School.
School. I gasped, and woke up to do the impossible.
I was in my school uniform, and ready in no time. I didn't get to prepare breakfast, so I grabbed my bag, phone and ran down the stairs, braiding my hair while doing so.
I let out a breath when I got out in the street. Who am I looking for again? Who called in the first place? As I asked myself the billion dollar question, my eyes rested on a black Lamborghini just across the street.
Adam waved from inside, and I walked towards him, my shoulders falling in disappointment. What was I expecting? Who was I expecting? I scoffed at my silliness and I got inside Adam's car.
I beamed at him, "Good morning," he smiled back, taking in my probably hideous look.
"Good morning, sleepy head," He replied, as his grin widened, "over slept?"
I sighed, as I stretched my right arm, it was numb, "No, the opposite, actually," indicating that I didn't quite get much sleep.
"Oh," He said, amusement playing in his eyes, "Who made you stay up all night?"
I groaned, "Don't even let me start!" I exclaimed, dramatically, "My boyfriend just couldn't stop talking, I had to literally convince him that he and I needed sleep. Miraculously, He let me go, after making me say that I love him for like, thirty times." I rolled my eyes, Adam stared at me. His face fell, and he blinked at me. I touched my face, "What? Is there something on my face?"
After two blinks from Adam, I couldn't help but burst out laughing, "You- should've– seen your face!" I laughed, as he let out a breath and chuckled.
"I'll get you back," He smiled to himself and drove off.
I raised one of my eyebrows, "Oh, really? I'd love to see you try," Adam's grin widened, I decided to ask, "Hey, what made you decide to take me to school today?"
He scrunched his face up, "Why? Can't I just pick up the girl I like on my way to school?"
The girl I like.
Did he just admit that he likes me? My stomach fluttered, but not the happy kind of flutter.
I ignored the liking point, "I'm definitely not on your way to school. You live halfway through Manhattan, while I live here." I gestured to my street, indicating Brooklyn. "Plus, the school is ten minutes away from your building,"
He stayed silent for a while, pursuing his lips, "Okay, you caught me." He admitted, but I didn't know what he was talking about in precise, "I just wanted to see you this morning," He glanced at me, a nervous smile plastered on his face. I blinked and couldn't speak. What can I say?
