Song of the chapter: Brave by Sara Bareilles

I stood before the very tall building, it must be forty stories or even more. A big Reynolds Enterprises sign was staring at me, I felt a sudden intimidation.
I gulped and entered the company, Then approached the reception, there was a young woman typing on the keyboard, not giving me a mere glance. I cleared my throat, but end up coughing instead. "What can I help you with?" She continued typing.
"I'm here to see Mr. Reynolds," I sounded stupid. I don't know why, but I did.
The woman's voice was bored, as if she was used to this kind of question. But still, she didn't look at me. "Do you have an appointment? Is he expecting you?"
If I say no, she'll kick me out. I decided to keep it a vague answer, I hummed, "I believe he will see me, yes," I didn't lie, and I didn't say the truth either.
She nodded her head at something, a stash of cards, "Take a visitor's card, his office in in the twenty-seventh floor." I took a card and hurried to walk away, the woman seemed to stop typing because she breathed a 'finally', and when she did, I believe that she called for me, "Hey, stop!" I think that she took a look a my clothes. Jeans with a Nirvana T-shirt. On the other hand, she expected a business woman dressed in a pantsuit.
I was already in the elevator, I quickly clicked a random floor. Anywhere but stay with an angry looking employee.
The elevator reached the twenty-second floor and stopped, the door opened as I clicked on the floor I'm heading to, "Hold it!" Someone said, my eyes widened and searched for the button to open the door. But the guy already put his hand between the doors, which led them to open. "Thanks for nothing," The young man beside me said bitterly.
I was about to reply on his supposedly insult, but noticed that he was angry. And I didn't want to mess with angry people, like never. His phone went off and he answered, "I'm on my way," and hung up immediately. He reached the buttons board but stopped midway, he must be heading to the same floor as I am.
It took us seconds to arrive at the floor, he stormed out while i watched him doing so. He would've been cuter if it was a smile on his face and not a scowl. Did I just call him cute?
I might've stolen some glances at him back at the elevator, Brown hair, same color eyes, a hint of facial hair and some fancy male clothes. He was indeed handsome, but his attitude killed most of it.
I sighed, another secretary was ahead. I couldn't just avoid her, and I didn't know where to go. But to my shock she pointed at me and said, "You!"
My eyes widened, "Me?" I hesitantly pointed at myself.
She made her way to me, looking around us, "You can't come here," She hissed, I blinked at her.
"No, I can. See? I have a card!" I flashed the visitors card at her face, with a big smile. People love a smiling person, but obviously she doesn't.
"You don't understand–" She started to explain, but was cut off by a series of chatter.
The elevator boy from earlier, was walking with two men. Both of them were smiling and talking to each other, while he walked along with his hands in his pockets. "–Don't be a stranger, and give my greetings to Finn," They started to shake hands, and I couldn't help but feel the secretary beside me tense.
"It's Mr. Reynolds! Go away!" She hissed at me. Instead of doing so, my grin grew bigger and I waited till the third man left, then I walked to them.
