That One Night

Part 6

Barry's POV

It's almost time for me to go pick up Caitlin. I stood in front of the mirror trying to decide what to wear when Iris pokes her head in my room.

"Hey Iris can you help me?"

"Sure what do you need?"

"I'm going out to dinner with Ray and Felicity tonight and i don't know what to wear" I explained as she looks through my clothes

"Awwe Barry. Third wheel?" She teases

"Funny but I'm picking up Caitlin"

"Barry Allen are you going on a double date with Caitlin?"

"It's not a date, they just invited both of us and i offered to pick her up" I say as i felt my cheeks getting hot

"You so like her, Look at your cheeks" She says pointing at my face

"Shut up and help me"

"Okay here" She says giving me a black suit and a red tie

After about 10 minutes it was time to go and pick her up. I was really nervous because it did seem like a date but i know that to her it was just friends hanging out.

"Ok i have to go you guys" I say to both Iris and Joe who are sitting on the couch

"Have fun on your date" I hear Iris say as i put my jacket on

"Stop it's not a date"

I quickly run out of the house and over to Caitlin's.

"You got this Barry Allen" I whisper to myself getting ready to knock on the door

Knock Knock

I see her open the door and to my surprise i see Caitlin wear a black tight fitting dress similar to the one she wore on our karaoke night.

"Caitlin you look...wow" I can barely get the words out of my mouth

I can see her blushing.

"Thank you Barry and you look very handsome" I can tell she is surprised

"Well i try. You ready?"

"Absolutely"!Caitlin says gesturing me to her car

"How about i take you there myself. We are going to be late if we take your car" I offer

"Barry i don't want to ruin my hair" She whines

"You always look perfect, now come on" I said picking her up and running head over to the Italian restaurant near Starling

When we get there i put her down and stick my arm out.

"Take my arm Cait" I say gesturing her

"Well aren't you such a gentlemen" Caitlin says taking my arm and we walk inside

When we get there i see Ray and Felicity already waiting for us.

"Hey guys" I said pulling Caitlin's chair out for her

"Thanks" She whispers as i take a seat right next to her

Caitlin's POV

As the night progresses i see Barry and Ray in a conversation about his suit while Felicity is grilling about what has been going on between Barry and I.

"Did you see the way he pulled your chair out for you" She whispers

"He was just being polite" I defended

"Your arms were locked and i can see him glancing at you, i mean how could he not...look at you. How long did you take to pick out this outfit?" Felicity questions me

"Only like an hour. It's not a big deal" I explained

"Yes it is, why don't you just admit that you have a crush on him" Felicity pleads

"Cause i don't, now let's talk about something else. How is it going between you and Ray?" I ask trying to change the conversation

"Don't you dare change the subject!" Felicity raises her voice bringing the attention of both of the boys

"You guys okay?" Barry asks looking at both of us

"Yeah" I said before taking a drink of wine

"It's okay if you want to drink more. I kinda liked taking you home the last time" I hear Barry whisper to me

"You're funny"

Felicity's POV

All night i see Caitlin and Barry stealing glances at each other. I don't know why they just don't admit how they feel for each other. I have tried really hard in getting them to at least say they like each other, i even stopped Cisco from coming.

"So Barry do you have a girlfriend?" I ask trying to get him to admit how he feels

"No, Why?"

"Just wondering" I finish as i felt Caitlin kick my leg under the table

"So it's getting late, Felicity and I have a train to catch" Ray explains paying for the bill

"OK well it was great to see you guys" Caitlin says as we all head out of the restaurant

"I will visit soon" I say pulling her into a hug

"Say hi to Oliver for me" Barry says hugging me

"Of course, and Barry....Don't wait to long" I whispered in his ear

At first he is confused but then I see the realization on his face. I took Ray's hand and we began walking to the car.

"So are they dating or something?" Ray asks

"Not yet"

Barry's POV

At S.T.A.R labs...Next Morning

I took what Felicity to heart. I just don't want to tell her how i feel and get humiliated when she doesn't feel the same. Last night was fun and it kinda was like a date, but i just don't know.

"Thinking about her?" Wells asks as he sees me pacing in the hallway

"Is it that obvious?" I questioned

"Not to her"

"Well she doesn't feel that way about me. So i just decided to stop. She isn't ready and neither am I" I explained to him before walking out
