That One Night

Part 21

Its only been a few hours since she came back to me. Everyone is gonna leaving me to watch Caitlin for the night, which i would have done anyway. I am just sitting in the chair next to waiting for her to wake up. As i feel my eyes beginning to shut i see Caitlin start to wake up

"Barry..." She mumbles

"Hey I'm right here" I say taking her hand in mine

She begins to sit up start to look around, i can see that she is confused

"What time is it?" She asks

"1 in the morning"

"Okay. Well you should be sleeping...come here" She tells me gesturing for me to sit next to as she scoots over

I don't hesitate to lay next to her and take her in my arms. I feel her put her head in my chest just before whispering something to me

"You know who i met there?"

"Who?"

"Killer frost...she seems nice" She tells me catching me by surprise

"That's good i guess but i am more worried about what happened to you"

"I know. Jay didn't need me but i am afraid of what's gonna happen when he comes" She confesses to me

"Let him come. Now you must be hungry since you haven't eaten for 2 days. Do you want me to go get some food?" I ask

"Please"

I quickly run out and grab some big belly burger. We both sit up on the bed and start eating, while discussing what has been going on here.

"Did anything bad happen while i was gone?"

"Iris told me she is in love with me...then she tried to kiss me" I explain

"Excuse me!"

"I pushed her away instantly...i told her i love you and i will only ever love you. I have no feelings for her whatsoever"

"Why would she do that...why would he do that especially while i was kidnapped i think that was the only opportunity she had" Based on how Caitlin is talking she is really upset

"Cait you are mine...i love you forever and always" I say kissing her

"I love you too"

A few hours later...

Me and Caitlin are laying down waiting for everyone to get here

"Are you okay?" I ask her

"I will be. I just want to stop zoom and have our lives go back to normal" Caitlin replies

"I agree" I pull her closer to me giving her a quick kiss on the cheek

Eventually we hear Cisco and Harry walk into the cortex

"Lets go stop zoom" I say taking her hand and pulling her into the cortex

Caitlin's POV

We are all just sitting around trying to figure out what to do when we see Joe walk in

"Hey. You guys got anything?" Joe asks

"Nothing" I respond

"Barry i just got off the phone with your father. He is coming for a visit tomorrow" I hear Joe say to Barry

"Cool. Why ?" Barry asks

"He wants to see how you guys were holding up with everything. and he wanted to get to know you" Joe says pointing to me

"Great" I say trying not to sound nervous

"Barry you better get to work. You have missed enough sick days" Joe says walking down the hall

"Sick days?" I ask him

"You were my main focus. Plus i only missed 3 days" Barry says before quickly flashing out of the building

At the police station...

Barry's POV

I walk into work and get started immediately. I had a lot to catch up on and i am lucky that i have super speed which makes me get done faster. As i get through nearly half of my work i see Iris walk in

"Barry can i talk to you?" She asks in a soft voice

"I don't know...Caitlin is really upset at what you did and so am i" I told her

"Barry I'm sorry, i shouldn't have said anything...especially when Caitlin was kidnapped. It was wrong of me"

"It was...but i know that you are sorry and i can forgive you in time...just give it a while. And you shouldn't just apologize to me" I say

"I know"

"We are best friends and i want to stay like that. Can we just forget this ever happened?" I suggest

'Yeah...i guess so. But that won't make my feelings go away" Iris tells me walking out

Finally i can get my work done.

a few hours later...

"Hey Barry how is work going?" Joe asks walking Caitlin was gone she told me she loved me and told her i love Caitlin. I was upset because she told me while i was worrying about Caitlin then she tried to kiss me and i stopped her said that i love Caitlin" I explain practically running out of breathe.

"Okay? SO what just happened?" He asks after processing what i just told him

"She apologized and i forgave her"

"Okay then. Well i am gonna head out and check on her. See you later Bare" Joe says to me walking out

At S.T.A.R labs...

Cisco's POV

I have been noticing all day that something has been bothering Caitlin. At first i thought it was the whole kidnapping thing but i thinks its something else.

"Caitlin what has been bothering you? And don't say nothing or say that it's the kidnapping thing because i know you well enough to know that its not true"

"Cisco it's just Barry and Iris. Something happened while i was gone" She explains to me

Did Barry cheated on her...If he did i will kill him how could he do that to my best friend. I always thought that Barry was a good guy. This makes no sense

"Cait if he cheated on you I'm gonna..." I start to say but she stops me

"No! Barry would never cheat on me he loves me too much. It's just that Iris tried to kiss him and she told him that she loved him...I am just afraid that one day he will leave me for her" She explains as i see tears starting to form in her eyes

"Caitlin i have never seen someone more in love with someone else than Barry is with you. I always saw him staring at you. I saw how he lingered and blushed at everything you said. He would never leave you" I say

"Thank you Cisco...i am also nervous about meeting Barry's dad tomorrow"

"He will love you. There is no need to be nervous" I say putting my hand on her shoulder

"Cisco is right. He will love you" Barry says as i hear him behind me

"I hope"
