That One Night

Part 8

Caitlin's POV

Why would this guy even come near me? It's not like he knows who i am. Maybe i should let Barry protect me, it's not like i have powers to stop every person who comes in here. I decided it was time for bed but first a shower. I got in and turned the water on, the water felt so good and relaxing. Right as i turned the water off,? i heard sounds coming from the livingroom. I quickly wrapped a towel around my body and walk out to see if anyone was there.

"Hello?" I yelled as i entered my empty living room

I decided to go back to my room and change into a tanktop and shorts, as i shut the light off and got in bed i started to hear those noises again. I quickly dialed Barry's number because that is the second time i heard it.

Ring Ring Ring

"Hello Barry?" I whispered into the phone walking down the hall and to the the living room

"Cait are you okay? Why are you whispering?" Barry asks on the other side of the phone

"I think..." I begin to say but before i can finish my sentence i feel hands on my shoulders, causing me to drop my phone

"Who are you?" I ask backing away from the gunman who attacked the club a few hours before

"The real question is who is the flash?"

"Why should i tell you? You shot my friend!" I yelled back as i feel my back hit the wall

"Well aren't you just a pretty thing, no wonder the flash can't keep his eyes off of you, and i would really reconsider because you don't know what I'm capable of" He whispered to me and I felt his body pressed up against mine

"Get your hands off of me!" I yell instantly slapping him across the face, which i regret instantly

I ran to my room as fast as i could and locked the door. I heard stomping down the hall and quickly backed up against the wall. I felt tears starting to form as he begins banging on the door.

"That was a mistake" He yells as he kicks down the door

He pushes me against the wall hard.

"Ow!"

"I never wanted to hurt you but maybe if you would've been cooperative and gave me his name, i wouldn't have to force you" He whispers grabbing my neck

I suddenly felt this gust of wind in my room. Barry was here.

"Get off of her!" Barry yells as he grabs the man and shoves him across the room

"She is quite a beauty, i don't know what would have happened if you would have come any later"

I crouched down to the ground as i watch  Barry punch him over and over again, i never thought Barry was capable of so much damage.

"Why does zoom want me?!" Barry says pushing him against the wall once again

"You will find out" I hear him say to Barry

Barry punches him one last time and runs him over to S.T.A.R labs, leaving me in shock and fear as I'm still on the floor with tears streaming down my face.

I see Barry come back and he crouched down in fronts of me.

"Cait are you okay? Did he hurt you?" Barry asks standing me up

He places his hand on my back, i can feel myself wincing at the pain.

"He did hurt you" Barry says sincerly as he places his hand on my neck

"It's okay I'm just glad you came when you did" I whispered and he pulls me into a hug

"I'm so sorry, do you need me to stay with you?" Barry asks

"I would really like that" I responded grabbing his hand and pulling him to the couch with me

"Caitlin i should get you some ice for your back, it's brusied" Barry says worried as he rubs his hand down my back

"Tomorrow ...lets just watch a movie for now" I says as we lay back and i turned the TV on

I don't know what movie we were watching, but all i could think about was Barry being here with me. I laid my head on his chest and i could feel him getting more nervous, but he puts his arm aound me anyway. I think i could really see a future with him, i really do love him. I close eyes and begin falling fast asleep.

The Next morning...

Barry's POV

I wake up to see Caitlin laying on my chest, she looks beautiful. I stayed there and just admired her before i had to get up. I looked at the clock to see it's almost 7, meaning it was time for Caitlin to wake up.

"Cait" I whisper to her trying to wake her up

"Hi" She mumbles lifting her head off my chest

"It's almost 7 which means we have to get ready and head out"

"I know...Thank you for staying with me" She says standing up

"I will always stay with you when you need me, i just want to make sure your safe"

"Thank you...Can this just stay between us for now? I don't want to worry Cisco quiet yet, I mean he just got shot?" Cait asks a little nervous

"Of course, i gotta head out but i will see you in a bit" I said beginning to walk out

"Thanks again" Caitlin says giving me one last hug and a kiss on the cheek, i quickly turned away so she doesn't see me blush

I run out and head over to my house so i have a chance to change before heading off to the CCPD.

I quickly ran up to my room but not before Iris comes out.

"So where were you last night?" She asks

"Nowhere"

"Yeah Yeah. Seriously where were you? You ran out of the house quickly last night" Iris says as if she knows something

"Iris stop grilling the boy" Joe says walking out of his room and downstairs

I quickly get dressed and run back to S.T.A.R labs to check on Cisco and Caitlin.

I walk in to see Caitlin sitting crouched down on the floor in the cortex. I walk over a sit down along with her. I could see her wincing in pain as she moved in her chair.

"We will get through this" I say placing my arm over her

"I know thanks to you" She says facing me

"I'm sorry....I would've killed him. He hurt you and I'm sorry" I told her, I never thought I was capable of such things

"You would kill for me?" I hear her whisper to me

"Yes"

I could feel the tension between us, so I leaned over to kiss her, but of course we had to get interrupted once again.

"Sorry to interuppt but i have some news" This strange man says to Caitlin and I

"Who are you?"

"My name is Jay Garrick and i know who has been trying to kill you"
