That One Night

Part 3

Cisco's POV

I have been noticing some weird tension between Barry and Caitlin ever since that night at the bar. I think they have feelings for each other, so I was thinking being the best friend, would invite them over for a movie night. I wanted to test this theory out for myself.

"Hey guys"

"Hey" Both Caitlin and Barry say in unison causing them both to blush

"So I was thinking of having a movie night at my place. What do you think?"

"Sure I'm in" Barry agrees without even thinking

"I don't know" Caitlin says unsure

"Cait do it for Cisco" Barry asks her, but I think he just wanted her there

"Fine. What time?"Caitlin says finally giving in

"7. I will see you both there"

I can't wait for tonight I think this will be the best plan I ever came up with. I had to get those two together.

Barry's POV

This is going to be great, it's pretty much and date except Cisco will be there. As I look at the time I notice that I am 20 minutes late. I hurry over there and quickly knock on the door.

"I knew it!" Cisco says laughing

"What?"

"I knew you were going to be late, that's why I told Caitlin to come at 7:30" Cisco says laughing at me

"Nice, I hope you know I'm not always late. Time just got away from me" I told him walking in and taking a seat on the couch, making sure to leave a spot for Caitlin

"I will sit over here, so Caitlin can have a spot" Cisco said laughing to himself

About 5 minutes later we here a knock at the door, it must be Caitlin.

"Hey guys, am I late?" Caitlin asks walking in when I open the door

"Not as late as Barry was" Cisco yells causing both him and Caitlin to laugh

"You failed Cisco's test" She ask taking a seat on the couch

"You both thought I was going to be late" I ask her surprised

"Sorry Barry, but being on time is not your thing. So what are we watching?"

"My favorite horror movie...Insidious" Cisco says in a voice trying to sound scary

"Oh no" I hear Caitlin whisper to herself

"What's wrong?"

"I get scared at horror movies" She says ashamed

"Don't worry I will protect you" I confidently say scooting closer to her

"Thanks" She replies as the movie begins

As the movie is progressing Caitlin keeps jumping and hiding her head in my chest.

"Don't worry I got you" I whisper to her reassuring her

We both takes our eyes off the screen and place them on each other, i can feel myself wanting to kiss her. As our lips get closer I close my eyes but before we can Cisco begins speaking causing both of us to separate.

"This movie is not so scary right Caitlin?" Cisco says surprisingly happy

"No I guess not" She says as she gets a bit nervous

"Cisco I have to get up early, so I think I am going to head out" I say quickly then running out the apartment.

Cisco's POV

They almost kissed, this just proved me right. They are so perfect for each other. Now all I have to do is make them realize it.

The next morning...

Caitlin's POV

Last night was nice, we were about to kiss. I don't know what came over me. I never thought I would find myself falling for Barry Allen, I always thought his heart belonged with Iris and maybe it still does. There was a spark I never felt with anyone not even Ronnie.

I walk into S.T.A.R labs to Cisco already there. I'm surprised because I'm usually first here.

"Hey Caitlin. How was last night?" Cisco ask in a voice that gave me a feeling that he knew something

"Good" I lie

It was more than good it was great because I think I have feelings for Barry.

Barry's POV

I can't believe I almost kissed Caitlin last night, i really wanted too and I think she wanted to kiss me back. That was the perfect moment....until Cisco had to interrupt.

I walk into the lab to see Caitlin sitting at the computer and biting her bottom lip.

"Are you okay?" I ask genuinely worried

"It's just Cisco has been acting weird lately"

"You noticed that too" I said and we both started laughing

"It's probably just Cisco being Cisco" She suggests

"Maybe"

The day continued normally....I'm running around saving people, then running back and forth from the police station and S.T.A.R labs. I'm exhausted. It's great being the flash, but it's hard being Barry Allen and the Flash at the same time.

I finally was done so I decide to lay on the bed in S.T.A.R labs.

"You okay?" Caitlin ask as she sees me laying down

"Yeah I'm just exhausted"

"I will let you get some rest" Caitlin says just before she starts walking out

"Wait....I kinda like talking to you" I say gesturing her over to the bed with me

I moved over so she has enough room to sit down. We just started talking about everything, I don't know why we haven't had this much of a conversation before. I don't know how long we were talking but it seemed like hours.

Caitlin gets up and puts out her hand "Cisco is probably wondering why we are spending so much time in here. Come on"

We walk out into the cortex to see Cisco texting on his phone.

"Hey guys I would have joined you but it seemed like you were having a long conversation, that for some reason lasted two hours" Cisco says smiling

"We were just talking" I say getting a bit confused as to why he was acting like this

"I know, oh and by the way Iris called. Apparently you were supposed to help her with some article" Cisco says drawing his eyes back to his phone

"Okay, well that's my Que to leave. It was a really nice conversation Caitlin" I finally said before I change out of my suit and leave

I walk in the west house to see Joe and Iris watching TV.

"I'm so sorry Iris. I was at the doctors getting a few tests done, I promise I will help you tomorrow" I say trying not to make her more upset

"Barry its fine, I understand" She replies before going back to watching TV

Now that that is over, I can't stop thinking about Caitlin. We were so close last night and earlier I wish we could always be like that.
