The stage was made of dark oak and lit up by warm white lights that shone down onto the instruments placed carefully in the middle. A black grand piano was stood in the middle of the stage, the wood shining in the light. In front of it was a single piano stool. To the left of the piano there stood a stand to keep sheet music on. The white lights dimmed and the theatre settled.

"Phil Lester, violin, and Dan Howell, piano." An announcement called out through the darkened theatre. Two men took the stage.

One had curly brown hair that was pushed back and soft brown eyes. He had a white shirt on that had the first two buttons undone and a black dress jacket over it.

The other had completely black hair that was pushed up into a quiff and big blue eyes. He wore a fully buttoned up long sleeved white shirt that had the sleeves pulled up and a black bow tie. In his hand he held a black violin that had white details and his bow.

Both men took up their positions at their instruments and put their hands where they needed to be, ready to begin.

"Phantom of the opera." The announcement came out. Everyone was silent, waiting for the music to begin.

The pianist began to play a sweet tune, his long fingers stretching to hit every note perfectly in time. The sounds echoed around the theatre, high pitched and beautiful. It sounded like a fairytale, black and white notes brought together to create sounds as sweet as honey. He pressed the peddle in time and sometimes closed his eyes slightly, trying to keep in tune and enjoy the music at the same time. The violinist stood watching him, smiling slightly as he kept himself in position so he didn't miss his cue. The pianist started to move his hands down the piano and suddenly the tune got much deeper, drawing everyone in to his song. It was as though he had been taken over, the music belonging to him and him alone.

The violinist began himself then, capturing people's attention and entrancing with his song. They played side by side, always in perfect union. They both moved in time to the music, the pianist pressing the keys like his life depended on it and the violinist moving his body to the rhythm of the song. The violinist closed his eyes himself and moved the bow to the right place. It wasn't just his body, it was his mind and heart that he put into the piece. Always trying to hit the right notes at the right time. It was obvious to everyone watching that the song meant a lot to the two performers, both of them putting everything they had into the song.

Soon the tune evened out slightly and the violinist lifted his bow for a second, giving himself time to pause before going back into the song, starting up his melody once more. This time it was more gentle and light, like a woman's voice. Delicate and sweet.

Then the tune for deeper, more like a mans voice. Still gentle but rougher and not as light. The song got louder and then quieter and soon the violinist pulled his bow down and wiped his hair out of his face. The pianist finished the song with a few more notes and then stood up, the theatre going crazy at the performance. Both men bowed and smiled, the curtains drawing shut in front of them.

"You have high hopes." The violini- Phil said as he pulled down his secondhand violin.

"You have low expectations." The piani- Dan replied as he pulled his hands away from his small keyboard.

"And I'm pretty sure it won't go like that, by the way, even if it does happen one day."

"It will!"

"Sure, Dan. Whatever you say. Now come on, let's get out of this crappy classroom and have some lunch." He said, putting his violin away into the case.

"Fine, but I expect chocolates after our first show together." Dan said, turning off his keyboard and putting away the sheet music.

"Of course you do." Phil replied, smiling and shaking his head.

This is really bad, I apologise. I was a bit busy today so it wasn't going to turn out amazing, but I hope I did enough? Oh well.
