Fullmetal Souls

I get up and leave the hotel. I walk to headquarters and go in to see the Same lady as before. She looks up from her papers and see my blood stained shirt. "What the hell happened to you?"

"I couldn't kill her. She was too strong." I say in defeat. She frowns and shakes her head. "That was a really important kill. You failed." I nod, "I know ma'am."

"One less person to worry about. I don't see the big deal." Ronny says.

"It wouldn't be a big deal if it were anyone else.." She sighs.

I hang up the phone and roll over in bed. 'I hope this goes well..'

Ronny frowns "if you don't like Amelia, then why do you care what happens to her, or the people around her?"

"You're going to have to talk to Major Armstrong." I nod and walk to her office. "Sit." She orders. I take a seat in one of the chairs in front of her desk. "You failed a mission. I'm very disappointed. I do not, accept failure."

"I understand ma'am" I say looking straight ahead. "No, I don't think you do." She growls.

"And the people she cares about?"

She shrugs. "I care about them because I'm not sure what will happen to them the day Amelia loses it."

"There's a chance she might break down and cry like any normal person..."

She grabs my shoulder "you're being transferred."

I stand up "after one slip up?!"

"All you need is one." She smirks and hands me a paper and points at the door.

"As bad as you?" Ronny smirks

I walk out the door and slam the door as hard as I can. The wood in door cracks. I storm out of the building and head back to the hotel.

She rolls her eyes and smiles a bit. "Maybe a little worse."

I sit up in my bed and rub my temples. 'Can I really pull this off...?'

He chuckles "I'll stay out of her way now."

I sit down on the bed and read the paper Armstrong gave me. "North Briggs. Fuck..." I lay back and close my eyes. "Fuck..."

I sit up and pull out my phone. I call you.

I stare at my phone debating whether or not to answer. "Hello?"

I sigh. "I need your help.."

"What? You're not feeling good? I know I haven't done Rentanjutsu in awhile. I should probably come over.."

"Well that couldn't hurt..But that's not all I need your help with..I'll just tell you when you come."

"Alright." I put the paper in my pocket and walk over to your room and knock on the door.

"It's open!" I yell and stand up.

I walk in and lean against the wall. "You've been keeping the rune hidden right?"

I nod. "Of course, i'm careful about it."

"Good, I don't want someone to see that, take you, and ask what happened, then they are gonna want to talk to me, keep you preserved, shit like that."

"Right..I don't want either of us to have to deal with that." I roll up sleeve and reveal the rune. "Do your thing."

"'Kay." I take off my gloves and put my hands on your arms. I channel my energy and the rune glows purple.
