Mourning

I turn off the tv and grab my gun. I quickly leave the shop and go back to where I buried Sage. I sit down next to the grave. "I'm sorry I couldn't help you...I'm sorry I left you. You were the greatest dog ever... and I'll visit you when I come back. I promise." I kiss my hand then pat the ground where Sage rests. Then I stand up and head for the train station.

I turn the corner and I go into a coffee shop. I order my usual hot chocolate and sit down by the window. It starts to rain and rain drops press up against the glass. 'She didn't deserve the die...' I sigh and take a sip of my drink. 'I don't deserve to be in her place.'

I get a ticket and wait at the train station. Sigh and rub my cheeks, I took at my hands and see blood. "What?" I stand up and look at my refection in the glass and see the I have a huge cut across my cheek. "When did that get there?"

The train comes and I get on, about an hour later I return to central.

I leave the coffee shop and finish my hot chocolate on the way back to the hotel. The rain falls into me and shake my hair like a dog, sending water flying everywhere. "I picked the perfect night for a walk.." I sigh.

I get off the train and begin to walk to the hotels when I see you. I quickly walk over to you and hug you without saying anything.

My eyes widen and it takes me a second to realize it's you. "Jack..?" I say hugging you back.

I hug you tighter and put my head on your shoulder. "... Hey sunshine..."

I smile and keep hugging you "Hey..I missed you."

"I missed you too." My voice shakes a little. I let go of you and sigh. "Sorry..."

I look at you a little worried. "It's fine...what's wrong?"

I try to smile. "Today has been a really shitty day..."

I frown and the rain comes down harder. "Well let's not make it worse by standing out here. We can talk back at the hotel." I start walking.

"Okay." I take off my jacket and put it over your shoulders, then put my hands in my pockets.

I pull the jacket tight around me and we get back to the hotel. I sit down on a couch in the lobby that's away from everyone.

I sit down next to you and stare at the ground. "How have you been feeling?"

I fold my hands in my land and glance at you. "I've been feeling fine.. And you?" I frown a little.

"That's good that you body is doing well." I lead forward and rub my hands together. "Hangin' in there I guess."

I nod. "What's happened..? You look really worked up.."

I sigh "it's that noticeable huh? Just stress..a lot of stuff has happened lately. One thing on top of another. Amelia, I don't think I can take anymore.."

I frown. "I know that whatever's happened must have been pretty bad..but I know you can pull through it. You can pull through anything." I try to give a comforting smile. "And you know if you need help pulling through, that i'll be here. I'm always going to be here."

"Thank you..." I lean back. "Just seeing Kimblee again reminded me of Zoe. I went back to my old house and found out that my dad killed me mother... and today... something happened to Sage."

My eyes widen. "Holy shit..." I glance at you. "What happened to Sage..?"

I shake my head. "She died...I found a syringe In her bed. I think someone poisoned her."

I feel my heart drop. "I..I'm sorry .." I frown and look down at my feet. "Who would do something like that..?"

"I don't know." I ball up my fists "she was all I had left Amelia."

I frown. "I know..." I look at you and pull you into a quick hug. "I'm sorry this happened.."

I hug you back. "Thank you for listening."

"It's what i'm hear for." I half smile. "I wish I knew how to help more though.."

"It's fine... you did help a lot."

I nod slightly. "I'm glad I could .."

I sigh and hand you a dog tag that read Sage on it. "She always liked you..." I smile a little.

I smile a bit and tears fill the rims of my eyes. "Thanks.." I say holding the dog tag. "We'll find out who did this to her, okay? I promise."

I kiss the palm of my hand then place my hand on yours. "Okay, thank you." I stand up and leave.

I frown and grasp the tag. I undo my necklace and slide the tag onto it. I put it back on and go back to my room. I open the door and Soul's snoring fills the room. I smile a little and climb back into bed.

I walk to a different hotel and get a room. I go inside the room and set my gun on the table next to my bed. I make sure the room is empty then I lay down on to bed and go to sleep.
