Hot heads and bloodshed

The next morning I wake up really late and look over at the clock. "2pm...." I rub my eyes and just out of bed. "Shit the meeting!"

"Whoa whoa, calm down." Soul says from across the room. "I pushed it to tomorrow." I sigh and lay back down. "Thanks.."

"Mhm...what happened to you last night? You freaked in the middle of the night and left."

I frown. "Uh, yeah. I went for a walk."

Ronny opens the door to your room bringing in a tray full of food. "I got lunch just in case you guys were hungry."

Soul grins and helps him with the tray. "Thanks." I sit up and nod. "Yeah thanks."

"What's up with you missy?" He asks sitting down in a chair.

"Yeah, seriously. Something happened last night didn't it?" She says biting into a sandwich. I shake my head. "Nothing's up, and noting happened." I give a weak smile. "I just had a bad dream and I needed to clear my head. That's all."

"If you say so." Soul sighs.

"That's a load of barnacles.." Ronny whispers to Soul.

Soul chuckles a bit. "I know," she whispers back. I glare at the two of you. "Don't worry about me guys. Everything's fine."

"That's not what Alikai said." Ronny mutters.

My eyes widen a bit. "What did Alikai say?"

"Well you said nothing's wrong so I'll keep it to myself."

Soul smirks and continues to eat her food. I glare at Ronny. "No, seriously. What did he say?"

"I'm just messing with you. He said that someone named Sage died. And that your friend looked like he was gonna cry or something."

I frown and look down at the dog tag around my neck. "Yeah..let's not talk about this." I get out of bed and slide on my shoes. "I'm going for a walk."

"Ooo, must have hit a sensitive spot on that one." Soul says.

"I guess so. What did happen? Are you in trouble or something?"

"No..not this time. I just need to go look into something."

"That's a first." Soul smiles.

I roll my eyes and smile. "I'll be back later." I open the door and leave.

Ronny chuckles "never seen her to be the sensitive type."

Soul leans back in her chair. "You'd be surprised with her. She's a lot more emotional than you'd think."

I walk outside and squint as the sunlight burns my eyes. I pull out my cell and dial Jack's number.

Ronny smirks "everyone is full of surprises."

I yawn and pick up the phone. "Hello?"

"I need you to do me a favor real quick." I walk down the street and turn a corner.

"That is?"

"Just tell me if you remember anything odd about that syringe you found.."

"There was a little bit of liquid left it. It was a bright green."

"Hmm...alright thanks." I hang up and stuff my phone into my pocket. 'Bright green..'

Soul slides out the chair and slides on her shoes. "I gotta go meet someone... You're welcome to tag along if you want." She smiles.
