Chapter 21: 3's A Crowd

Once out of the small cage like room, we followed my nose down the right path to our next test. The room we came to was one that had 3 different doors and a sign between each and one above the doors.
"3 is a crowd!" read the sign above the doors.
"There are 3 doors which each ends with a fight but if you win the fight you are sure to make it to the bottom of the tower. Who you fight is all up to you." read the sign to the left.
"Press X and each will take a different door which vary from easy to hard in difficulty, press Y and one of you will take the easy path while the other two either take another path together and fight at the end or fight before and the winner can follow down the same easy path as the first one. Pick wisley." read the sign to the right.
"Well this is simple X. We all go our separate ways and may the best make it to the bottom. Right?" I said more to Ponzu than to Hisoka.
"Right!" she said smiling eagerly.
"Very well. See you at the end my fruit." Hisoka whispered into my ear before walking infront of the red door.
"Just press the damn button before I change my mind and kill you so me and Ponzu get the easy path." I growled.
"Very well." he said as we all pressed the X button on our watches.
As soon as the doors opened up and before we could talk about who goes which way Hisoka was already heading down the path tbrough the red door.
"HEY! What the hell you thibk you're doing you bastard!?!...Fine go that way...who cares you Jerk!!" I yelled after him... I don't know why I'm so upset he choose the harder path according to the nen I sensed coming from it.
"Sorry Ponzu...well 2 doors left. Which one you want? Blue or Yellow?" I asked not gonna tell her that I felt the yellow to be a little easier but then again I have no idea on how well she fights.
"Oh it doesn't really matter to me. I mean we'll see each other at the bottom anyway right?" she said smiling.
"Right. Then I'll go through the blue and you take yellow. Good luck and see you at the bottom." I said waving as I started down my path.
My path wasn't too difficult or at least it wasn't to me, but it was long and seemed to take forever. I checked my watch to find out that a total of 6 hours have passed. I continued straight for about another hour before I decided to start taking a few doors...so not difficult just long and boring.
Finally after a total of 8 and half hours had passed I found a room with a person in it. This must be who I have to fight, I could tell they were strong but not as strong as me.
"I thought you'd never make it here." the man said.
"Sorry to keep you waiting...too many doors in this place."
"I agree. You ready to fight?" he asked standing up...he seemed to be a simple thief and barfighter to me.
"Always...may I ask for the conditions of the fight before we begin?"
"Yes it will be an 'I Quit' match or until one of us is dead..also no weapons...just hands and feet." he answered.
"Understood." I said.
"Then lets begin." he said walking into the light.
This guy had black hair and purple eyes with a small scar on his neck and a small tattoo of a fly. They were a group of roughens who tried to be like the 'spider' but had no brains at all. I had to track a few down and it would take only about 15 minutes to find them...again they are not the brightest and also very stubborn.
"AAAARRRGGGHHH!!!" he yelled charging at me with his fists.
I sidestepped out of the way and grabbed his arm and flipped him to the ground. He got back up and charged again, I grabbed his arm and pinned it behind him.
"Give up. You don't stand a chance." I said into his ear gripping his arm tighter.
"Never!" he said flipping me over him and trying to attack again.
This went on for about an hour and yet still nothing from him. I wasn't going to kill him due to a promise I made myself when I was 18 but I had already broke about 3 fingers on each hand, badly scratched his face and chest, oh and dislocated his left shoulder. No brain and stubborn meant that he still did not give up.
I started to get even rougher. I lowered my head as if in wolf form as he charged again, this time as I moved out the way he lost control and couldn't stop and went over the edge of the platform we were on. Couldn't let him die so I grabbed hold of his right arm so he didn't fall to his death.
"What are you doing?" he asked shocked.
"Saving you idiot." I said lefting him up back onto the platform.
"Why? We're enemies...I'm a criminal why save me?"
"Because I'm not a killer. Be thankful." I said standing up and offering him a hand to help him up.
"Thank you...you know what. You win. I give up." he said bowing down at my feet.
"Thats enough...here take this medicine. It will help you heal faster then normal." I said handing him a small handful of pills that my pack learned out to make to be similar to how our healing kiss and licks can be.
"Thanks again. The way to the bottom is the stairs. Follow the hall out that door and once you find the stairs go down and enter the door at the end." the guy said taking the medicine and a hidden door was reveled to my left.
I went through the door and like he said followed the long hallway which was like another 30 minutes to an hour but I finally made it to the stairs. OMG there are sooo many stairs!!!(if you get that reference I love you). Finally though I made it to the bottom of the stairs and saw a door straight ahead and I ran to it. The door opened to a big open room with 4 people already there with Hisoka and Illumi being two of them...this must be the bottom.
"Contestant 43 Momoko is the 5th to finish. Time elapsed 15:05." a voice rang out.
Now with a bigger headache then when I started I took a seat next to the door I came out of leaning against the wall and luckly I was away from Hisoka. However that didn't stop the creep from staring. I hope this phase ends soon or that Ponzu comes down soon so I can talk to her and forget about Hisoka....my head hurts.
