Chapter 25: Confusion

"I made a promise...I promised myself to never kill...not again." I said as my knife disappeared from beside Hisoka's head.
"Hmmm..." He hummed and even seemed a little surprised.
I got off of him and sat on my knees with my head down holding back tears.
"Go on and kill me if you want to, but I made a promise to never kill again...if that doesn't satisfy you then kill me and take my tags. Make it quick though before I try to fight back again." I said still looking down.
I could sense that he had gotten up and walked over to stand in front of me before squatting down to my height. I refused to look up, but suddenly I felt him put his hand under my chin and forced to make me look at him.
I expected for him yell or talk but instead I was met with a small soft kiss. I was so shocked or at least I hope it was shock prevented me from pushing him away and not something else, the kiss was short and for some reason I hated that.
"I'm not gonna kill you my little fruit." He as he removed his lips from mine.
"What? Why not?" I managed to ask.
"I've found myself amused by you, and I don't like to have my toys broken. So I won't kill you...at least not yet. Plus we still have the deal about the spider...so how about we do this my fruit. I will give you the tag you need and you give me one of the ones that only cost one point for you? See you at the end." He said winking as he left the tag and walked away.
Still shocked and confused about what all just happened I just sat there slowly raised my fingers to my lips. I could still feel his lips on mine and it was driving me insane. I reached for the tag he left me, I can't accept this, I didn't beat him...this isn't right.
Suddenly I sensed someone else nearby and it wasn't the guy assigned to follow me...no this was the chairman.
"Can I help you Mr. Chairman?" I asked standing up.
"Oh so you knew I was here?" He said stepping out from behind a tree.
"Either you just arrived or you figured out how to disguise your scent and how to slow your heartbeat down to near death, so which is it? Also how much did you hear?" I asked turning to face him.
"I heard enough...I haven't been here long....you're troubled by something yes?"
"If you heard enough of the conversation then you should the answer to that."
"Fair enough...so you don't think that you deserve that tag?"
"No."
"Because you didn't win the fight...because you didn't kill him?"
"Yes...it's just not right...besides I promised to never kill a human again...but he...he just pushed me to far and scared me that I would. Yet at the same time I promised my dad before he was killed that I would become a hunter...ugh I wish I knew what to do."
"Are you gonna give up?" Netero asked walking closer.
"Well I can't bring myself to accept this tag, and even if I find another  person they may not have thier tag...I don't have the time to chance it...nor do I want to chance getting that close to killing someone again...but I'll let my dad down...I could always take it next year." I said walking over to lean on the tree.
"I can't let you do that." He told me.
"What killing? Well I wont if I stop now." I said a little confused.
"No...I can't let you give up...ypu are not allowed to quit."
"WHAT?!?! WHY NOT?!?!" I yelled.
"Because if I let you quit now then I will be going back on the promise that I made your father the day you were born." He said smiling.
"WAIT WHAT?!?" I yelled dropping the tag.
"Let's talk in the airship. I'll explain everything to you little Momoko Lobo." He said picking up the tag and walking away.
HOW DOES THIS GUY KNOW ME AND BETTER YET HOW DOES HE KNOW MY DAD?! My curiosity got the best of me and I found myself following after him. This has been so confusing and I dont know why or what I am doing.
