NATALIES P.O.V

i heard shouting and banging i couldnt take it anymore what if Robert got hurt? or zach? i couldnt live with that. austin tried to stop me but i quickly made my way around him. i opened the door and saw jay holding Robert against the wall. i quickly shouted. they turned to me. zachs eyes shot towards me , he was shocked. he made his way to my side i knew he was hurt by the way he walked over to me.

"p-please r-run!" he shouted in pain. i shook my head. "n-no , leave them alone , ill go with you" i said.

Robert shook his head. "NO!" he shouted as he pushed jay towards the couch and started punching him. zach quickly grabbed me by my waist and put me over his shoulder. "STOP!! LET ME GO! ZACH! AUSTIN! PLEASE ! HES GONNA GET HURT!" i shouted on top of my lungs.

"i-im sorry natalie! but i have no choice i cant let you get hurt! i swore i would never let anyone hurt you! STOP! JUST LET ME TAKE YOU AWAY FROM HERE PLEASE! I CANT LET THE SAME THING HAPPEN TO YOU LIKE IT DID TO MY S-SISTER!" he burst out into tears. i stopped fighting it.

"promise m-me y-you'll h-help Robert?" i said. he nodded as he whipped the tears away. 'i promise just please leave with austin" he whispered as he wrapped his arms around me.

austin grabbed my arm and took me into the car and drove away. .

ZACHS P.O.V

i couldnt let her die , i swore i would protect her with my life. im not gonna make the same mistake like i did with my s-s-sister. .

i ran back in when i saw her leave with austin. i saw jay on top of Robert beating him. he pulled out a knife. i quickly ran and pushed him off. i felt a huge pain in my stomach , i heard Robert yell.

i saw jay run off.

"stay with me! zach please stay with me!!!" i heard Robert faint voice yell.

"p-protect n-natalie w-with your l-life bro"

i saw pitch black after that.

AUSTINS P.O.V

we arrived at the house when my phone rang , Robert.

"Hello?" i said.

"z-zach GOT STABBED! HES ON HIS WAY TO THE HOSPITAL! DONT TELL NATALIE! I-ITS a-ALL M-MY F-FAULT" he shouted in tears.

my heart sank , he cant die. no no no.

"IM ON MY WAY!" i shouted.

"whats going on!" Natalie yelled.

"you need t-to s-stay h-here" i whispered tears coming out of my eyes.

"austin!" she yelled. i looked at her tear in her eyes as well. . . hes like a brother to her it'll break her to find out. . i burst into tears as i couldnt take it anymore. . "i-its zach" i whispered.

"NO! H-HE C-CANT B-BE!" she yelled as she burst into tears. i began driving to the hospital. i called everyone to let them know.

NATALIES P.O.V

i cant loose Zach hes always there for me , hes like my brother! i love him , please dont take him. .

we arrived at the hospital i ran in and saw Robert in tears pacing around. "WHAT HAPPENED!" i yelled as i crashed my arms around him. we both stayed hugging and crying on each other. "i-it w-w-was a-all my f-fault , i-im s-so s-sorry" he stuttered to say in his shaky voice.

i wrapped my arms around him tighter.

i looked at his bruises. i peeked his lips. "THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!!" rachel yelled in her shaky voice. she got near my face. "FOR Y-YOUR FAULT MY BOYFRIEND THE LOVE OF MY LIFE IS IN THERE ! DYING! CAUSE OF YOU!! WE ALL HATE YOU!!" she yelled in tears as mat grabbed her and took her out of the waiting room. tears were coming down my eyes. it is my fault , jay is my step dad. if i knew stayed zach wouldnt be in there.

"LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE!" mariah yelled following the broken rachel. alex stayed looking down. austin walked towards me. i stopped him. i looked at Robert "s-shes right" i whispered as i sobbed. i walked towards austin and grabbed his car keys.

i ran out i felt someone running after me but i didnt care. i got into the car and locked it i started the engine.

he pounded on the car. it was raining.

"OPEN THE CAR! YOU DONT KNOW HOW TO DRIVE! OPEN IT!" Robert yelled. i sobbed in the car. i hit the stearing wheel with my hand. i unlocked the door. he quickly wrapped his arms around me.

"D-DONT S-SCARE ME l-LIKE THAT! you think zach would want you leave?! NO! you need to be there for him when he wakes up!! he loves you natalie! he sees you has little sister!!" he yelled making me come back to reality.

"i promise you natalie im here for you, it wasnt your fault ! we need to stay strong for him , ignore rache-" i cut him off.

"I CANT IGNORE HER! I WOULD BE JUST LIKE HER IF THAT WAS YOU IN THERE!!" i yelled as he held me closer. he took me out of the car bridal style and placed me on him on the back seat. i cried into his chest.
