To My Human Host

I'm run by fear,
     There's no stopping me

At first I started out slow,
Crashing in only extreme situations
I made sure that everything was in place for attack:
Your palms slip and slide with perspiration,
Not caring about your inspirations

Your heart beats so fast your chest feels numb

Your thoughts trip from one train to another,
Emphasizing every doubt, working together

Finally
Tears gather in the eyes
Welling, dripping
You inhale nothing,
You exhale screams of agony

A new surge of power runs through me,
Weaving in and out of my entire being
I started messing with your mind
Igniting the engine and jamming the syringe of Fear in

I knew the dangers
But I just wanted to feel,
Feel powerful
I was no longer a rare and infrequent sight,
But a common, scary fright

Like clockwork
Every tinge of fear,
Every hint of whimpering
And I went in till you turned blue
Like clockwork,
It wasn't long until I destroyed you.
                             __________

What...
What happened?
Did I black out?
I guess you did too

Wait what's wrong?
I think I lost control
Oh god
No
What did I do?

It took over me
Feeling powerful, dominant
You weren't supposed to break
Well, you weren't supposed to break like this
I just wanted to feel in control for once
She's always had me in her grasp
Fear, I'm a mere pawn in her game
She tightens her grasp and the air thins
And I'm the one to blame when you can't breathe

Your eyes are permanently shut now,
Hands covering your ears
Legs shaking, body breaking
Thoughts earth- shattering
Oh god, help me god,
What did I do?
