Vader

The solo family where enjoying a nice quiet dinner aboard the falcon as they traveled back to Coruscant, after having payed a visit to Luke and having taken some time off from work Leia felt relaxed, her son next to her and her husband right in front.

Both han and Leia were done with eating and drinking there glass of wine as they watched Ben devour his cake, the 7 year old love sweets and just couldn't get enough of the cake he usually made with his father.

He looked at his mother and sigh, Han frowned seeing his son searching for words when he asked leia " who is darth vader " it came out as a whisper, leia didnt hear him and asked him to repeat.

" who is darth vader "

" why are you asking " she asked feeling her throat getting tight

" kids in my class said I'm like him " ben said looking at his plate now, Leia looked at Han with a worried look, she knew that question would come one day.

" what else did they say honey " she asked putting her hand on his cheek as he lift his head back to look at her.

" they said that I'm gonna be a sith, what is that " he asked as Leia sigh

" come here " she said as he got up and sat on her lap " you don't listen to them " she said resting her forehead to his " you're an amazing little boy and don't let these people hurt you "

" but who is that, i wanna know " he said looking at his father now. Han was looking at Leia, he could see that she didn't wanna talk about this but that she had to.

" ben baby, could you leave me and daddy alone for a minute " leia asked as ben nodded and walked away.

After having told ben who Darth Vader was Leia had fallen asleep on her bunk with Ben in her arms, han walked in on them and smiled leaning against the door.

He watched Leia slowly open her and walked over to the bunk " how did he take it " he whispered as ben moved a little

" He understands a little i think but i didn't tell him everything " she whispered as han took her hand

" are you ok "

" yeah "

After standing there for a few minutes han took ben in his arms and brought him to his bed, as he picked the blanket to put it over his son, ben opened his eyes.

" hey kiddo " han said with a smile and kneeled down.

" I'm sorry i made mom sad " ben said pouting, he felt like crying now.

" you didn't do anything honey don't worry " han said kissing his forehead

" but now she is sad because of me "

" no, its not because of you, mom loves you ok "

" i know that, but ..." he said stopping himself from talking and started crying, han wrapped his arms around his son and took him back in his arms.

" did he hurt you " ben asked lifting his head up as han whipped his tears away.

" he hurt allot people, but yeah he did "

" i would never hurt you dad, i love you to much " ben said hugging his father again and rest his head against his shoulder.

" i love you too Ben, do you need me to stay here with you or not " han asked as ben got back to bed

" no you go to mom, she needs you, you make her happy " he said as both father and son smiled at eachother.

" ok, you go to sleep now " he said kissing Ben's forehead " love you " he said again and got up, he made his way back to his and Leia's bunk, she was just sitting there when he entered.

" is he ok " she asked quietly as han sat next to her and took her hand in his

" yeah he's, he's probably sleeping now "

" i don't understand it, how could these kids say that to him " she said looking at Han

" they probably heard it from the news or there parents " he answered watching her start to cry now " come here " he said laying with her on there bunk now, her head laying on his chest.

" he's so small he shouldn't have to know about him " she cried as han stroked her hair slowly

" i know ,yet one day he will know who he really was "

" i can't tell him who Vader was and that that monster was my father "

" leia " he whispered lifting her chin up " you're the only person who can talk to him about this, you're his mother, you're the one who has to tell him about anakin and that he was ones a jedi who turned to evil"

" i can't, not right now "

" why "

" because it'll change everything "

" what will it change, it didn't change you or Luke, you're still the same "

Leia didn't answer and just rest her head back on his chest, how was she supposed to tell her son the man who was her real father was darth vader. She will tell him another day maybe when he's bigger.

All she wanted to do was sleep now, she felt han kiss her head and closed her eyes.

Han was woken up a few hours later by Leia hitting and turning, she punched his nose and opened her eyes screaming.

" HAN ! " she shouted again and quickly looked at him, he was holding his hand in front of his nose.

" are you ok " han asked looking at his hand full of blood now as she hugged him.

" oh han, did i do that " she asked looking back " Im so sorry "

" I'm ok "

" no you're not " she said now getting up and quickly grabbing a towel. She came back and sat next to him. Gently removing his hand and giving him the towel she went back to grab something wet to clean the blood from his face hand and chest.

" you had a nightmare didn't you " she heard him ask as she came back.

" yes, Han it was....." she tried saying but failed at her words and started crying.

" you don't have to tell me, calm down leia " he said hugging her and lay back on the bunk.

" han... there was you.... and Ben"

" sshhh Leia it wasn't real, just a nightmare "

" he killed you " she said crying even more " vader kept.......he kept telling ben to kill you, and he did "

" don't worry Leia " he said stroking her hair slowly " vader is dead, nothing can happen, you go back to sleep ok "

" i can't, Im afraid of seeing that image again, did i brake your nose " she asked lifting her head to look at him.

" nha I'm fine, don't worry princess a smuggler can take a punch " he winked and kissed her
