Chapter 16: Birthday Horror!

a week before the boys come home

its been months since I've seen the boys in person and its killing me. i facetime Harry at least 3 times a week an text everyday of course. I'm going to facetimes him in about an hour as its my birthday tomorrow and I'm going to be 16! its 7pm now and ill have to finish the call with Harry around 10 as i have collage tomorrow. 

i was sitting in kimias room chatting to her about just people at school and the latest rumours around school not really paying much attention but just waiting for Harry to ring me. i checked my phone 7:10pm hes never late for our facetimes or if he is he texts me first whats going on? i put my phone down and try to pay my attention back to kimia and forget about why Harry's running late. 

7:30pm - nothing

7:45pm - nothing

7:55pm - its nearly an hour later than this was meant to be and i haven't even had a text from him telling me why hes so late. "Lily wasn't Harry meant to of called an hour ago" kimia questions or just pointing out the obvious to me. "yes kimia he was and i haven't even had a text from him to say why hes not going to facetime or anything." 

to:Harry

hey babe, ive been waiting an hour now for you to facetime. whats going on? x

i send the text to harry then put my phone down on the side

"come on Lily lets watch a film to take your mind of all this and remember its your birthday tomorrow so you should be happy! your turning 16!!" kimia says cheerfully. 

"i suppose.." 

" lets watch pitch perfect and dig into a massive pot of ice cream." she says as she pulls me off the bed, linking arms with me and taking me to the kitchen to get ice cream.

hours later

i had fallen asleep watching pitch perfect. not that it was a bad film just that i was really tired. i look over to the other side of the room and see kimia asleep on the floor with the cover over her she must of fallen asleep as well as the tv was still on. i get out of bed and turn the tv off. as i walked back over to bed i see my phone lighting up on the side table. i pick it up and see that harry is facetiming.

"hey babe happy birthday" a cheerful mop of curls pops up on the screen. i look at the time at the top of my phone and its reads 12:05am. I'm officially 16!!!

"hey, thank you. why didn't you call earlier?"

"oh erm... i wanted to call you at midnight so i could be the first to say happy birthday" he didnt sound like that was the real reason but i wasn't in the mood to argue with him.

"okay? well thank you but its midnight over here and i really need to sleep as i have school tomorrow, tell the other boys and Lou i say hi and that miss them" 

"ok Lily see you next week... Lily?"

"yes harry?" 

"i love you remember that okay?" whats got into him whys he being so weird

"okay? harry are you ok your acting really weird?"

"yes fine just remember that. happy birthday Lily bye."

and with that he went. strange what was that all about? i thought to myself. i was to tired to analyses the situation i needed to sleep so that was what i did.

6:45pm 

as i heard the dreaded alarm go off i rolled over to to see a smiling kimia holding out a present and a card.

"happy birthdayyyyyyy Lily!!!!!"

" thank you kimi" i say i take the present off her a rip the rapping off it.

"oh wow kimia thank you i love it! how did you know this was the watch i wanted?!" i just out of bed and jump of her to say my thank you"

ah well i saw it on my search history on my laptop"she giggles

"oh thank you so much" i thank her again and put the watch on. it looks lovely and icat sstop grinning.

as i walk into school, arms linked with kimia i notice everyone looking at me and laughing. i try to ignore but it cant. it felt like the first day everyone found out me and Harry were going out but everyone was use to that now...right?

"kimia whys everyone staring" i ask kimia but keeping my eyes on everyone staring at me.

"i dont know Lils, come on lets go up to the pod" she says as he drags me up the stairs.

as we get near the pod i here voices telling everyone me and kimia are coming. i don't like the vibe I'm getting from everyone today. "happy birthday Lily! your finally 16!" Chloe yells as she gives me a hug. "yeah happy birthday Lily did you get anything from harry?" i hear from Jade who had a smug smile on her face sitting in the corner.

"no he phoned at midnight to wish me happy birthday but hes home next week" i tell her as i open cards from different people. trying to ignore the fact that shes just trying to wind me up. 

"is he bringing his new girlfriends home with him too?" it took me a moment to process what the bitch had just said. i look up from opening the cards and look around the room to see everyone looking at me sympathetically and at Jade with daggers.

"wha wha what do you mean" i stutter as i get out my seat and walk towards her. 

"oh didn't you see. its all over the internet." she takes her phone and put its in front of my face so i could see the article that read.

'HARRY STYLES CHEATS ON LONG TERM GIRLFRIEND LILY WITH ONE NIGHT STAND.harry was seen entering hotel with red head girl at around 7pm last night. then walking her to her car at around 11:50pm. its beleived that its Lilys birthday today as well. not the best presents for your girlfriend Harry.'
