"This is really nice. But I don't know how to swim."
"I'll teach you."
Eric removed his pants and shirt leaving his boxers on. He jumped into the water which looked amazing as the sun hit off of it. It seemed to sparkle.
Kaycee was a bit skeptical seeing as she had no experience swimming and had no idea how this would work out.
"Don't be afraid. Just give me your hand."
She thought why not and removed her dress and gave him her hand. He helped her slide into the water one foot at a time. Her heart started to race as she stayed in the water with his hands keeping her in place by the waist.
"Just relax," he spoke, watching her glance around as if someone would out of the blue drag her down. "Move your feet in a kicking motion and push your arms out."
"Okay."
Kaycee's movement were clumsy but she finally got it down as she felt his hands move away from her waist. Her arms pushed out like it was moving the water away from her and her feet kicked smoothly through the water. When the water rose up and touched her chin, she panicked a bit but got back on track as Eric nodded in encouragement.
They swam a lap around the yacht once and then Eric let Kaycee go by herself to make sure she was secure in her swimming abilities.
"That was fun but also the most terrifying thing I have done in my life," Kaycee admitted as she grabbed a towel and wrapped it around her wet midsection.
The couple sat in the front of the boat on a comfy built in couch. Eric had stocked the boat before they went out on the water. He handed her a bottle of water to drink not really sure if she wanted to drink the bottle of champagne he had set on ice.
"Why do you want to be a waitress?"
That started a round of questions.
Time flew by as they sat there just laughing and talking. Until the sun started to set and Eric pointed out the most gorgeous orange and purple spot in the sky. Kaycee let her head lean against his shoulder.
"Are you going shopping tomorrow when I leave?"
"Why would I?"
"For your new job. I thought you'd want more professional clothing."
"I don't think so. Do you think I should?"
Kaycee thought she had enough clothes in her closet to last her. She didn't like the thought of going shopping or even sending Eric's stylist to get her more.
"I think you look nice in anything especially when you wear those messy space buns and wear your 'I Love Sleep' pajama set," Eric admitted as they turned from the sunset and pulled back on their clothes now that their underwear was dry. "Or when you wear sweat pants and work out like the world is ending."
Kaycee bit her lip to stop from smiling at the fact that he paid attention to her despite her game plan to steer clear from him. He just seemed so attentive and although she kept her distance, he always had this way of making her feel comfortable and lighthearted.
She stood on her tiptoes and pressed a kiss to his cheek then in a wave of confidence decided to peck him on the lips.
His lips were just like she remembered them, silky soft. They fit together as she deepened the kiss and let his tongue enter her mouth. She fit her arms around his neck as he fit his around her waist pulling her in and changing the angle.
When her chest touched his chest, she had to back up and end the kiss.
Eric watched her with glazed eyes and glistening lips as she touched her forehead and closed her eyes. He wanted to kiss her again but he didn't want to push her past her limit.
"Can I say something?", she asked.
"Please," Eric spoke with anticipation of her next words.
"I think I might be falling deeper in love with you than before and I'm.... I'm scared cause I've never been here before."
"Come with me. Just come with me on my business trip and we can have a quick ceremony. I'll give you the biggest wedding you can dream of but I want to marry you. And I promise you this that we have is not a phase or a fluke or anything spare of the moment."
"It's only been two weeks since I made you promise. I can't just-"
Eric nodded. He could definitely understand the pressure of being pushed to marry someone. His mother and father had tried it with him and he just didn't want that for Kaycee and him.
But he could also see the fight she was having with herself. They might not get married in two days or even two weeks but they would get there if he had anything to say about it. He wouldn't give up on this amazing girl he had came to know and love.
