Chapter 3

NEW EARTH- Chapter Three

I looked around. "We need to gather supplies and weapons, then we have to keep moving, we can't stop until we get where we need to be, ok?" I looked at him straight in the eye. "Ok, but where are we going to find weapons, there's none here." He said. "Well, you see no weapons, I see weapon galore." I take a broom stick and rip off the rubber end, then grab a kitchen knife and duct tape and place the knife handle half way in the tube end of the broom stick, and tape it. "Wow, you are pretty crafty." he said. "Well, you always have to use what you got to make something better." I said. I found a metal hanger, rubber bands, and skewers. I took pliers and bent the metal hanger to look like a sling shot. Then placed the rubber band on it and secured it. Then loaded it with skewers and gave it to him. "It's very effective. it can pierce through a cardboard box, and since the rubber bands are rough, it will go farther and make more damage." I explained. "Well, someone has been playing too much tactical video games." he said to me. "Well, preparedness is what helps you survive, Now get some food, and one pan, put it in that pillow case and lets go. I saw a car that was opened and it has fuel so we can get going." I ordered him. "Ok captain, whatever you say." He told me. He gathered everything and we left the place. We looked around for the things, They were occupied on their lunches. We snuck into a car, then as soon as we started it, they saw us and were coming after us. We drove through a neighborhood in the really suburban side. We found a mega store. "You stay here, I'll be back, If I take too long, Drive into the store and get me." I grabbed my blade staff and took of the bristle part of the broom, and went in the store before he could reply.
