New Earth- Chapter 33

I looked in through the windows, but I couldn't see anything or anyone. "They are definitely not here." I said. "Where could they be? Do you think they re safe?" I turned to Jack, he looked at me at the same time and shrugged. "All I know is, that we need to keep going." He said. He's right, but still.... I miss those handymen. They were perfect for my group, the perfect protection and friends. I hope they are ok and we see them again... ALIVE. "Are we going to go in or what, I'm getting bitten by bugs." Serenity nagged. I exhaled. " Ok, lets go in." I opened the front door and found a light switch that turned on the main entrance. Then I turned it on. It was nice on the inside, or at least what I can see that's not too dark. "Wow, this is nice on the inside too." Jack said. "Tell me about it, those people must have had money." Jesus added. "Ok, we need to unpack, were down to four, we have almost no protection." Jack's eyes darted at me, he put his hand to his chest, mocking that he was hurt. "I said Almost no protection." I added. He smiled then looked away. "Well, aren't you a good craftsman, or craftswoman? Whatever you call it." Jesus asked. "Yes, but I don't think that I could build something to defend us." I said. "Oh." Jesus' head dropped. "We're going to die." He laid on the floor. "Stop your nonsense! We still have a chance of survival." Serenity yelled at him. "Serenity, calm down." I said. "I am calm but-" She paused and looked around. " Where's Jack?" She asked. "I'm right here." He said with his deep voice but not very loud. We all jumped. "Why were you over there?" Serenity asked. He was in the room next to the front door, the light in there had not been turned on yet."I'm trying to figure out where they could be." He was looking out the window, all the anyone could see was the light from the moon on his face. "You guys go to bed, I'll take the first shift." He nodded us off and we checked the house for anything unwanted. When we finished we went to sleep.

I was woken up by a bang on the door, It was loud enough to make me jump out of bed. I slowly went up to the door, I put my hand on the door handle and very slowly twisted it. Then, I opened it really fast.
