New Earth- Chapter 39

After we finished throwing out the bodies, we looked around. "Ok, now lets finish securing this place." I said. We split up and took walkie-talkies. I looked around to check for anything suspicious, I couldn't see anything out of the ordinary. Krrkk "Hey, I think I found the mother load of food and supplies, meet me at the storage area when you guys have finished your sections." Jack's voice had static. "Copy." I said along with the others. As I finished up my section of the mansion, I managed to come to a room with double doors. As the saying 'curiosity killed the cat', I had to open them. I slowly opened the doors, a huge bed took over a corner of the room. There was a mess all around, the cleanest thing there was the curtains hanging off the bed, in which were slightly stained in blood. I walked in, it was a purple room, most likely a teenage girl's, I don't think that little girls had trigonometry textbooks. I looked through the clothes, one size smaller than mine had to do. I headed back out and closed the doors behind me and headed to the dining area. There I met with Jack and Serenity. "Hey, where's jesus?" I asked. "He's probably still in his section, should I call for him?" Jack said. "No, wait five minutes first, he could be somewhere in danger if we call for him and maybe he wont be the only one listening." I said. We waited, the silence was getting louder and louder. All of a sudden, krrkkk "Hey, guys I'm on my way to the dining area right now." Jesus' voice sounded off. "Copy." I said as I look and see Jesus coming towards us. As soon as Jesus was close enough Jack began to talk. "Okay, now, there's a huge supply closet over here." He directed us in a direction towards a door. He opened the door and awe man, we hit the mother load alright. Boxes upon boxes, piles upon piles, cans upon cans. It was a wonderful sight, we all gasped in amazement, all we needed to survive 2+ weeks lay in that huge storage area. "Beautiful isn't it, like someone robbed gun, clothes, food, and survival shops." Jack said. We all grabbed at the many things there, like the food and survival kits, clothing and gun boxes, until we were satisfied with what all we had grabbed. Well, lets get situated so we can settle down and rest for a while.

As we laid down, time had passed, the day had turned to night. We all took our shifts and continued to the morning. I was sitting at a window on a large windowsill, I looked out and saw the birds flying and singing in harmony. They were lucky they can fly, and go wherever they want. I heard a footstep and quickly turned my head. "Hey," Jesus chuckled, "it's just me, relax." He said as he sat in the space I wasn't occupying. "Did I scare you?" He asked with a huge smile. "No, you just startled me a little. I wasn't that scared." I said with a scoff. "Haha, yah right. But, I didn't mean to scare you, I was just checking up on you. How are you feeling?" He asked me and stared right at me. "It's ok, and, I'm alright. Just thinking." I turned my head back to the window, admiring the garden outside. "Thinking about what?" He said with a blank expression as he turned his head to the direction I was looking. "Don't worry about it, it's over now." I said with defense in my tone. "You know, you haven't been the same since that night." He looked back at me. "What do you mean?" I looked at him.
