New Earth- Chapter 51
Chad's P.O.V.

I looked at Michael, then his daughter, then to Kelee who had a questioning face. "You okay?" She asked me. "Ya, just thinking...can we talk in private for a second?" I directed her to the closest room.

"What's up?" She put back a strand of hair that found it's way to her face. "Look, I know that you're the leader and all, but, do you think that the travel will be safe? I mean, what if it's  dangerous? We could lose food supply and we'll all be hungry. What about herds, those things could end our group right there." I had a concerned face and she stood up straight. "I know it seems like that now, but don't worry, we can figure it out. We have 2 days to figure this out you know." She gave me a weak smile.

"Okay, but, dont you think if we're going to get there, we gotta get going sooner. We shouldn't wait if we're going to go through with this." I said. She nodded and we walked out of the room. Everyone stared at us.

"Well..everyone, get packed and ready because we leave tomorrow in the morning. Get good rest and eat as much as you can, we have a long...travel ahead of us." She turned around as everyone groaned.

I got something to eat and took a nap.

After I ate I took a catnap on the couch. Everyone else but Jack and Jesus were sleeping. Those two are always helping out and barely rest. I think they should rest a little.

I sat up and walked over to them. "You guys get something to eat and rest. We all need you in shape for the next couple days. And plus you guys are always helping out." I directed them to their rooms. "Hey, it's okay, we're not really hungry or tired." Jesus said. Jack nodded. "Go eat and at least take a nap, and that's an order." I said firmly but smiled. "And if we don't?" Jack laughed. I paused.  "...Then....the group splits your lunches and you wont get any for a day." I crossed my arms. "Wow, harsh much?" Jesus raised an eyebrow. "Well, I don't know how else to punish you." I smiled. "Now go." I said as they both went to their rooms hesitantly.

I wasn't really going to take away their lunches but, it was a good way to get them to finally rest.

I looked around outside of the window. Not much things moving, unless you count trees and leaves moving in the wind. I'm glad we don't have to worry too much about roamers since we have gates around this property. I laid my head against the window and thought about tomorrow. That little girl...Leah, she might cause us one of our lives. If she screams or has a little tantrum, that could end up in a horrible result.

As I think about it, I just hope we can make it through. Chad doesn't want any more people to die. Neither do any of us, but another death can possible hit Chad the hardest. I am going to have to make sure that I keep everyone safe as best as I can. If not, bad things can happen.

Interrputing my thoughts, I hear a louder wind. The leaves are moving around more frequently and more violently. It should stop by tomorrow, I hope.

I exhaled loudly and continued watch until the morning.
