New Earth- Chapter 11

"So, intorduce yourselves." I demandes softly. A man with red hair and blue eyes, kind of chubby said, "I'm Jack." Another man with Brown hair, and brown eyes said, "I am Marcus, not mark, Marcus." I nodded as to show that I understood. A man who looked really young and had dark brown hair and sky blue eyes said," My name is Daniel, or Danny or Dan for short." I nodded. Then I darted my eyes toward a man, Dirty blond, emerald eyes, very skinny, " Ahem, and your name is?" He looked up. "Oh, umm, my name is Chad." He looked at me with a very lost face. "Ok Chad, what were you thinking about? There's obviously something on your mind. You can share it, Might as well." I told Chad. He looked as if he wanted to cry. He pulled out a picture, It was stained and worn out, very faded. "This is my daughter, she's.... she would have been 4. And my wife, she's the love of my life." He teared up. "What happened?" I asked. He looked down. "I had to leave them, They were both bitten, my friend's tore me away from them, I couldn't stay with them." He cried. "I begged, and pulled away, but I couldn't. I couldn't save them. It's my fault." I comforted him. "It's not your fault, You couldn't have done something." He yelled, "It was my fault!" He calmed himself. "I left them under a car to get something for a second, I came back to hear screaming, a walker bit them, but my wife tried to fight it off. That's when I killed it. I left them, and they got bitten. It's all my fault. I couldn't protect my baby." All the men were comforting him. I stopped. "Wait, guys, you hear that?" "What?" Jesus asked. "Yah, I do, what is that." Asked Marcus. "That's my guard dog. He must have heard someone. Or seen something." I said. We all looked through the holes in the windows. We gasped. It was a roamer. "Ok, who's going to kill it?" I asked everyone. "I'll do it." Dan said. "Ok, but when you do, then just dispose of it please." I told him.
