Chapter 6: Operation; Attic Clean Up!

It was incredible... The speed in which the girls cleaned up... I've never seen anything quite like it... Within minutes. No, seconds! We were done! "Alright! Let's go see this attic!" Mira exclaimed. "Aye!" We called back. I took Lisanna's hand as she pulled me up. "Lead the way Lucy!" I nodded. I lead them to the back of the house. There lay the stairs up to the attic. "Here we go..." I mumbled as I climbed the creaky stairs. The others followed.

Carefully I pushed the door open. The attic was dark, damp, and dusty. I sneezed and coughed when I entered, breathing in the dust. "Can anyone find the light switch?" I coughed. I wasn't the only one who didn't appreciate the dust. The others seemed to be sneezing just as much. We dragged our hands along the walls. "Found it!" Cana yelled. Then, there was light! "Yay!" I smiled. Okay light, that one off the list of things to worry about. "There should be a window here somewhere." Happy added. I nodded.

We searched around a bit. I forgot how big the attic really was. Though it was a bit cramped with the boxes and boxes of stuff. "This is mostly junk... But I think there are some photos and stuff here I'd like to keep..." I marveled at the boxes. It had been forever since I'd last even seen any of this. "Found it!" Levy shouted followed by a groan and then, finally, a pop as the window opened. "Good, now we can get some air and clean this place up!" Mira declared, rolling up her sleeves. "Let's get to it!"

We spent the rest of the day sorting through boxes. Really, a lot of it was useless junk that we just threw away. But there were a few boxes from the Heartfilia mansion, with a few photos and things I could part with. "Lucy look at this one!" I tilted my head and peered at the photo Lisanna held. "Aww!" It was a picture of the whole guild as kids. They all looked so cute and innocent. While except Mira, how still looked like a little punk. But you had to admit. She looked adorable.

In the end we had it narrowed down to a few boxes. Which we were able to store elsewhere. Now, we just had a ton of dusting and cleaning to do, and we'd have a room! "Wow is it really that late? We should get going before it get's to dark." Juvia wiped the sweat of her forehead. "Those boxes were a lot heavier than I anticipated..." The other girls nodded. They wouldn't let me lift things so I just looked through the boxes.

"I'm sorry I couldn't be of much help..." I really felt awful for having them do all the work. "Don't worry Lucy, we'll be back tomorrow to help clean, okay?" I smiled. "Okay!"

The girls had just left when I heard a knock at the door. "Hey Luce! Happy! I'm home!" I walked to the door. "Hey! How was the mission?" Natsu wrapped his arm around me and kissed my lips. The incident from this morning long forgotten. Happy stuck his tongue out. "Yuck!" I laughed. Natsu smiled. "Easy, those thugs were no much for us!" I laughed once more. "Natsu! Come see what we did!" Happy excitedly flew up the stairs.

I nodded. "Yes hurry!" I rushed up the stairs behind Happy. "Okay! Calm down! You shouldn't run that much Luce." I sighed "Natsu, you're such a worry wart!" When I stepped into the attic it took me a second to realize where I was. "Look at it!" I exclaimed. "Whoa..." Natsu stared around in amazement. I laughed at his dazed expression. "This is great. Is this were the baby will be?" He looked around the room for a minute. "It'll need to be fixed up a bit." I commented. "But pretty soon we'll have a baby room!"

"I'M SO EXCITED!" I laughed even more. "Alright. I'm going to hit the hay before I pass out in the attic..." I yawned and rubbed my eyes. Today is a good day... But tomorrow will be even better... I smiled at the thought.
