Chapter 16: Can I Just Have A Nap!?

I was totally right, it did get very, very busy. In just a month or so, I got a call from my best friend.

The lacrima rang and rang. "Do you want me to get it?" Happy asked. It was nine a.m, Natsu was still asleep, and Nashi was in a bad mood. "I got it, you try and feed Nashi... good luck." I added with a sly smile. Happy groaned, "Aye sir..." He said reluctantly. I walked quickly to the lacrima in the living room. I answered, only to have the faces of Levy and Pantherlily appear. "Hey, why'd you call me so early?" I asked, still a little groggy from waking up. Levy looked so excited I thought she might explode. And Pantherlily was smiling so big, I thought that perhaps his face would freeze like that.

"Lucy! You're never gonna believe it!" Levy turned and grabbed something from behind her. "Okay close your eyes!" I sighed, "Why do I-"

"Just do it!" I shook my head and smiled in defeat, "Okay okay! They're closed." Levy can be very persistent when she wants something a certain way. "Alright! Open them!" I did so, and what I saw in the Lacrima was... incredible! Levy was holding up a white stick looking thing. I knew what it was in an instant. "OH MY GOD LEVY!" I couldn't help but yell. She giggled while Pantherlily shushed me. "You're pregnant?!" I whisper yelled in amazement.

So ya, that happened, but that's not the best thing...

"Come on Nashi! Say it with me, Pa-Pa." Natsu tried to coax Nashi into talking, but all she did was go, "Balka!" And giggle. "She's not gonna do it Natsu." Happy commented while flying around, Nashi tried to grab his tail. "Happy," I said, "Don't be such a debby downer!" Happy stopped flying and said, "But my names not Debby, it's Happy!" I would have laughed but I didn't have time. Nashi grabbed the flying cat's tail and pulled down hard. "Eeeeek!!" He screamed but Nashi hugged him, "H-Haffy!" I looked at Natsu, "Did you hear that?" He nodded, "She said Happy!!" Natsu pulled both the cat and the girl into a hug, "Yay!" I laughed, "Well, it wasn't exactly- Hey!" He pulled me into the hug too.

All the excitement ended far too soon. Here I am, swamped in bills upon bills. Turns out that having a kid doubles your expenses. "Why does money have to be a problem? Can't everything just be free?" Natsu complained. I sighed, "I wish..." Bills are no fun, especially if you can barely afford them. "Pay pay!!" Play, one of Nashi's newest words. Though it sounds more like pay. "Yes Nashi, we are paying bills... don't get so excited." I joked sounding very much bored. The stress was killing me. Nashi slammed her hands on the tray of her high chair. "PAY PAY PAY!!!"

"Nashi! That's enough!" I said, very annoyed. Nashi stuck out her lip and pouted. I sighed, Nashi wasn't much of a crier, but she could make that face... "I have an idea." Natsu came to sit next to me and wrapped his arms around me, to calm me down. "How about, we go to the guild hall. I can go on a job so we can pay these," he gestured at the bills with a disgusted face, which made me laugh a little. "And you can take Nashi out for awhile. There! Now we all win!" I scoffed and rolled my eyes, a smile spread on my face. "Wow! My husband can come up with good ideas? I don't believe it!" I teased. Natsu chuckled and pressed his lips against mine. "Don't get used to it." he whispered. "PAY!" Was all I could hear though.

"Up you go!" Natsu swung Nashi in the air and onto his shoulders. She giggled like mad. "Be careful!" I worried and fell in step with them both. They both laughed as Natsu spun Nashi around the whole town on the way to the guild. When we arrived, Natsu Placed Nashi in my arms and shoved open the doors. "Where back!!" He yelled the guild hall is loud, sometimes I wonder how anyone can hear anything at all. "Welcome back!" Mira greeted from behind the bar. I took Nashi and sat there, "How's little Nashi doing?" She asked, "I think she's bored." I said frankly, "How are you doing?" I asked, Mira's belly has grown a little bit in the past month or so. Nashi wriggled in my arms before I put her down. She stood up and held onto the stool for support.

Mira and I talked for a bit and then were interrupted by a "Nashi~Chan!" Asuka ran over and grabbed Nashi's hand. "Let's go play 'kay?"

"Pay! Pay!" Asuka apparently loves the idea of being the big kid around the guild. Mira and I laughed and kept talking, a second later Levy joined us. From behind me I could here Asuka and Nashi laying. Asuka had her gun and was showing it to Nashi. "You hold it like this. Then pull on this, and BAM!" Her toy gun popped and Nashi clapped. I saw from the corner of my eye as Nashi formed her hand into a gun. "BAM!" She copied. Three fireballs flew out of her fingers. They hit the stable and set the edge of it on fire.

When she realized what she had done and saw Asukas slightly horrified face, Nashi began to cry. I rushed over but someone beat me to it. A gentle hand swept over the small fire and water drizzled down onto it. The fire was gone in an instant. Juvia crouched down in front of Nashi, "It's alright, no harm no foul." She smiled sweetly and my daughter's tears stopped falling. I crouched down with her. "Thanks..." I said. I faced Juvia, her eyes looked like mine, happy, but, in need of a good nap. She nodded, "We should probably take them outside, huh?" She said, glancing at where her son Storm sat with Gray, he could only crawl but had figured out how to bang spoons together, which was exactly what he was doing. I sighed, "That would be a good idea... maybe after we can have a nap." We both laughed softly.

Sorry I'm a day late! But this week was moving week and we were having some trouble with the internet. I could've made this chapter longer but that would've just made this come out even more late. I still have no idea where this story is going, but I do have a question for all of you, would you want me to continue form this chapter or skip to like when Mira and Levy have babies? 'Cause I haven't the slightest idea.
