~~~Lucy's POV~~~
"Nashi! You eat food! Not through it on the floor!" I sighed and picked up the bowl she threw on the floor. "Is everything okay?" Natsu stepped into the kitchen, eyes wide at the mess. "Whoa... what happened here?" That time it was Happy who flew into the room. "Nashi won't eat the food..." I explain and tried to wipe up some of the mess. Natsu picked up the bowl and wrinkled his nose. "Well ya, it's just a bunch of mush. It smells awful... Why not give her some pancakes?" I face palmed. "Natsu! She doesn't have teeth yet." Natsu blinked. "I forgot..." I Happy and I sighed, though I couldn't help but smile. Technically she did have teeth, two baby teeth on her bottom row.
I tried once more to feed Nashi, this time saying. "Missy, if you don't eat this, then you don't eat anything." To my surprise, it actually worked. She was grumpy, but she ate! Afterwards it was time for us to eat. Under my supervision, Natsu made breakfast without burning the house down! Yay! "This tastes like tar..." Happy complained. "HEY!" Natsu seemed a little hurt. I laughed and Nashi giggled at Happy's expression. It wasn't until we were cleaning up did Nashi sneeze...sending fire everywhere. "Not again..." I complained as Natsu ate the fire before it could burn down the house. Nashi laughed afterwards, clapping her hands as if to say, 'Do it again!' "She's so much like Natsu it's scary..." Happy sighed. I smiled trying not to laugh as Natsu rolled his eyes.
It wasn't until Nashi was about five months, could I leave her with a babysitter. It was no surprise when Mira volunteered for the job. Never have I been so happy, to sit on a train with a sick Natsu. But I couldn't help it! I was just so excited to go on another job. I didn't care that it took a 3 hour long train trip, just to go take care of some weird monster. When we got there, I was a suddenly depressed. The monster had raged through the town, destroying everything. There was nothing but rubble left. The people who made it out, had run away. Or, I assume they did, there was no one there to tell us that they were there...
There wasn't even a train station, we had to walk a mile just to get there. "This is awful..." I murmured. Everyone nodded. "Our client said he would meet us at the entrance." Erza informed, looking at the remains of the village. "Where even is the entrance?" Gray asked. We looked around for a moment, before hearing a shriek. "Wendy!" I yelled and ran to the scream, along with everyone else. "Did ya find the monster?!" Of course that was Natsu's question... "N-no! It was much worse! I found a rat!" I rolled my eyes but sighed in relief. "It wasn't a rat child! It was just a piece of debris." Carla scolded. "It was too a rat! It ran on top of my foot!" Wendy defended.
While the cat and girl bickered, I noticed Natsu glancing around. "Everything alright?" I asked. He shook his head. "No, something smells fishy..." He sniffed the air. "Oh, you mean this?" Happy flew over and pulled out the fish from his bag. I face palmed. "He doesn't mean it actually smelt like fish Happy..." still, I looked around. "I think Natsu's right. There's nothing here." Erza looked around suspiciously. "Maybe they're hiding from the monster?" Gray suggested. "Alright. So we take care of the monster, and when we come back maybe they'll have come out." I said, and they nodded.
"But the question is, where is the monster?" Gray pointed out the flaw in the plan. We all frowned momentarily, before a roar broke through the sky. Shaking the ground. "I think we found it..." I said sarcastically. We cautiously walked to the roar, crouching in the bushes to peer into clearings. It wasn't until we had walked a good long way, did we hear a roar that knocked us to the ground. Ears still ringing I hardly heard Wendy ask if we were okay. My lovely husband helped me back up and answered, "Ya, we're okay. That monster's gotta be huge to make that roar. Let's do this!" He pumped his fists into the air and ran to the roar yelling, "Yahoo!"
Gray knocked him on the side of the head. "Shut up or it'll hear you. Besides, we should look at what we're dealing with." I couldn't agree more. I grabbed Natsu's hand and pulled him with me. "Come on, let's do this." We walked until the path turned into a dead end. I crouched down and pushed aside the foliage. Looking into what appeared to be a clearing. My eyes widened, "I-I found him..." I whispered. The others crouched down with me. "Whoa..." Wendy breathed next to me. He was giant, and mad. Kicking up dirt and roaring so loud I thought I might go deaf. He had horns and long sharp teeth. His skin seemed to be made up of mostly scales.
"Awesome! Let's do this!" Natsu yelled and ran out into the clearing, jumping into the air, sending an iron fist into the side of the monsters head. "I guess we're doing it that way..." Gray sighed and... stripped off his shirt... following Natsu into the brawl with and ice floor, making the creature slip and slide. "Wendy, use your wind to push the monster on the ice. Lucy, we're going to help the boys hit the monster head on. Got it?" count on Erza to always have a plan. "Okay!" Wendy and I coursed. It sounded like a good plan. I just don't know how well it will work.
A/N
The chapter isn't as long as I wanted it, and it didn't come out when I wanted it. But still, I think it was okay... I'm not to good and creating battle scenes, so hopefully I can make it work. But thank you all for sticking around for this story. It is officially summer! So I will be writing quiet a lot. I still have no idea where this story will go, but I think I want to get to at least 20 chapters, maybe a little more. But until next time, this is Jade Lock signing out! Love ya!! Bye~~
