So it was Club Day and the hallways were filled with students rushing to the booths to get listed in the clubs they want. I calmly went to the booth and signed up for the dance club and science club. I really wanted to pick the Hypotenusean Club since it acts like an investment for grades. Anyway, the bell rang and the students went to their respective clubs. First, we went to the academics related clubs. So I walked to the science club's room and sat on the floor. I only knew a few people in the room since the room was filled with freshmen. A couple of minutes later, I saw Magnamare come in with her friends. Nothing much happened that time. The second bell rang and people went to their second club. I went to the AVR for the Dance Club. While on the way, I saw Magnamare was heading in the direction I was heading. I would be very lucky if she also signed up for the Dance Club. Destiny played his tricks and he read my thoughts. I saw Magnamare enter the AVR after me. I saw this as an opportunity for Magnamare to notice me and possibly create a bond between us. There's this tradition in the Dance Club in which the members and officers would have a method of "elimination" and the "eliminated" one will dance in the center of the human circle. I've been practicing some routines and techniques in dance during summer so I have something to show off if I decide to join the Dance Club. An uncertain amount of time later, I was "eliminated" and I danced in the center. The president asked me what song would I like to dance to. "Anything that's kinda new" I said. So the president picked the song "Roses".
As the song played along, I tried to synchronize my movements with the beats in the song. I did this style called "tutting". I found this concept quite cool so I gave it a try. I did a decent job of not humiliating myself that time. After everyone was done dancing, the bell rang and people headed to their rooms. I got to our room and it was locked so everyone talked to everyone else. I saw Magnamare and her friends talked to me and said stuff like: "That was a weird dance back there" "How do you that twisty arm and wrist thing?". After all the chit-chat, I felt kinda proud of myself because Magnamare noticed me and she knew that I existed.
