Chapter 12

The rest of the school day was pretty uneventful. The day first got exciting when I got home and a blonde I knew too well was sitting on the couch. "Beky?" I asked surprised as I walked down the small stairs to the living room "What are you doing here?" "I came back when I heard about this little thing called the cure" She said and got up. "The cure? What's that?" I asked her confused. "A cure against vampires. Take it and you are human again" She said. "Of course you want that. You are a family person, but why are here when you want it?" I asked her confused.

"Well, I made a deal with someone" She said and just a short time later Damon entered the room. "Please tell me the deal isn't with Damon" I said and she smiled. "Beky, no... Not with him..." "It's the best partner I could find, since Stefan is siding with Elena, who is dying to be human again" "I know you want to be human and all, but there has to be another way. One that doesn't need Damon" I said, but she had already made up her mind. She thought that Damon was the best team mate she could find.

"You guys are crazy!" I said and walked up to my room. "Gosh!" I shouted once I entered it, because a short blonde was laying on my bed and that blonde was no other than Landry. "What the hell are you doing here?!" I asked her and closed the door of my room. "Heard there is a camping trip coming your way and you didn't invite me. That kind of hurt me" She said. "What? Where did you get that idea?" "Your dad wanted to pick you up, but only found me instead. He told me" She said and got off my bed "Camping is fun, so I decided to join in. After all you need your best friend there" She said.

"Did you just make yourself my best friend without asking me first?" I asked and she nod. "You should know that about me by now. I do what I want" She said and walked to the door of my room "So are you coming or will you wait until you are mummified?" She asked and walked out of my room. "I hate you" I said and followed her. "Oh, I hate you too" She said and put her arm around me once more.

"What is Landry talking about? Camping trip?" I asked, walking down the stairs towards the living room. "Now I get it. You had no idea about the plan" Rebekah said and I shook my head no "Of course not!" "That explains a lot" Beky said "So what team are you on? "Team Elena or Team Rebekah?"

Dad and Elena had arrived and were standing on the other side of the room. "Stop it Rebekah!" Stefan said and walked over to me. "She doesn't have to pick a team!" Dad said and put his arm around me. "Thanks dad" I said and looked at Landry . "I'm still trying to choose. Team Original or Team Doppelgänger. Gosh, you are making this hard for me" Landry said and I pushed her to signal her to shut up.

"So, who is coming?" I asked. "Me of course, Elena, Stefan, Barbie Klaus, Vampire barbie, you, little Gilbert and apparently Barbie Mandy" Damon said. "I have a name, you know" Landry snapped at him, but Damon couldn't care less. "So, the cure. You think it is just laying around?" I asked. "We know for a fact that the cure is being protected" Jeremy said and sat down on the couch. "And how are you going to find it? Last time I checked, it doesn't have a tracker on it" I said. "I'm the tracker" Jeremy said. "How do you mean that?" I asked and he pulled his shirt up. "This is the map to find Silas" He said. As I looked at him, I didn't know if I should concentrate on the map tattoo or those abs. His body was perfectly in shape. Guess it's a perk of being a Supernatural Hunter.

"Okay then" I said once he had put his shirt back down and I was back in control of my body. "When do we start?" I asked, now pretty excited.

Not a few hours later we were unloading our boats on the island the cure is hidden on. "So Mandy, what team will it be?" Beky asked again. "Still not choosing!" I said as Stefan handed me his phone. "What am I supposed to do with that?" I asked. "Take pictures of the huntersmark" He sai dand looked at Jeremy. It sure was an awkward situation but it had to be done. "Okay then" I said and put my bags down, while he took his shirt off. Once again I was looking at his perfect body. "Mandy" He said and got my attention. "Sorry, zoned out" I said and started taking the photos of his mark.

Then I lost control of my hands and I followed the lines of the mark with it. He didn't seem to mind. He then took my hand and held it in his. I slowly lifted my head while he lowered his. We were looking at each other and I couldn't take it any longer. I placed my hand on the back of his neck and pulled him down, crashing my lips onto his. It was the first kiss we shared and it was my first kiss ever since Kol and I got seperated.

We pulled apart for a second and looked at each other, smiling. "And I thought it was going to awkward" I said, still smiling like an idiot. "Shut up!" He said and placed his lips on mine again. "Mandy! Jeremy!" Stefan yelled. Jeremy and I pulled apart faster than I actually wanted. He put his shirt back on and went back to the group. I handed my dad his phone back. "Thanks" He saidand we started walking. I made sure to stay close to Jeremy. "What is going to happen with us when we're back home?" I asked. "I don't know, but things won't be the same" He said and smiled down at me. "I'm happy when things change" I said and grabbed his hand.
