Chapter 13

As it become dark, we started to put our tents up. I was supposed to share it with Landry, but since she was the only one that used her supernatural hearing to eavesdrop on us, she knew what was going on between Jeremy and I. She said that she will cover for me, so I could spend the night with Jeremy.

I was laying next to him, while he was just smiling at me. "What?" I asked with a smile on my face. "I'm just happy" He said and ran his hand over my cheek. "Then stop talking!" I said and pulled him closer and crashed my lips onto his. He then removed our blankets and climbed on top of me. We continued kissing and I slowly started pulling his shirt off. We continued making out and slowly got undressed.

The next morning I woke up in the arms of Jeremy. I opened my eyes and looked at the handsome boy next to me. He looked so cute sleeping with his bed hair. His warm body embracing me was the best feeling I have ever had. I didn't want to get up. "Mandy? I think she went for a walk" I heard Landry say a little louder. I quickly got up and dressed, waking up Jeremy in the progress. "Hey" He said in his morning voice that was too sexy to be real. "Morning" I said and kissed him. "I gotta go. My dad is looking for me" I said and wanted to crawl out of the tent, but he held me back. "Before you leave, this this" He said and gave me his vervain bracelet. "Don't you need it yourself?" I asked. "No, I'm a hunter. I can't be compelled" He said and put it around my wrist "And you did tell me that vervain doesn't hurt you, so like this ou will always have something of me with you" He said and I smiled, maybe even blushed a little and kissed him "Thank you. I love it" I said and crawled out of the tent. "Might be a little early, but I love you" He said and I smiled "Well, since I fall in love pretty fast, I love you too" I said, before running off, feeling his eyes on me.

"Dad? You were looking for me?" I asked as I arrived at his tent. "Yes" He said a little confused "Weren't you wearing that yesterday?" He asked confused. "Yeah, I fell asleep in it and forgot to change before I went on that walk. I'm gonna do that now" I said and went to Landry and my tent. "So, how was your night?" Landry asked, wanting to know everything. "I'll tell you, later" I said and started to get changed.

Once I had brushed my hair and pulled it into a ponytail, I climbed out again and hurried back to my father. "What's up?" I asked him, pretending like nothing was wrong or different, but also fought with the smile that wanted to form itself on my lips. "We're still trying to find the cure" He said and I nod "I know. How can I help?" I asked. "I sent you the pictures. You can take search for it with Landry" He said. "Sure, I'll just grab her and Jeremy and we'll be on our way" I said and he looked at me. "Why Jeremy?" He asked. "Why not Jeremy?" I asked and walked off, now allowing that freakish smile.

So just a short time later the three of us were walking around. "So, what did you do last night?" Landry asked and kept going on about it. "Landry, shut up!" I said and suddenly it was quiet. "This is the first time she actually listened to me. Something is wrong" I said and turned around "Landry?" I asked and walked back a few steps. "Down here" She said and I walked carefully to the edge of the hole. "What are you doing down there?" I asked. "Having a picnic, would you like to join" She yelled sarcastic.

"You can also just jump up" I said. "I can't! I'm stuck!" She yelled back. "Hold on to me Jer" I said and he did as told. I then jumped down and the two of us freed her. "Wait a second" I said and walked closer to the stone wall "It doesn't look abandoned and like an entrance" I said and walked through. "Mandy!" Jeremy said and followed me and he was followed by Landry. "Hey, is that a person?" I asked, walking further into the tomb. "That's true" A male voice said and pushed a stake into Landry's back, gladly not her heart and broke it, so she couldn't reach it. He then grabbed me when I wanted to help her, slid open my wrist and put it onto the mouth of the mummifted person. 

"Hey, what the hell are you doing?!" Jeremy yelled and pulled the guy off of me. I fell to the ground and moved back to Landry and tried to pull the stake out. "What's going on here?" Elena asked and got in between Jeremy and the guy. She pushed him and he hit his head and became unconcious. Suddenly her lips formed a smirk and she pushed Jeremy's neck down on the person, grabbed the cure and ran off.

I let go of Landry and wanted to help Jeremy, but before I had reached him, Silas had broken his neck. He slid dead to the ground "NO!" I cried and just a short time later, Elena and Stefan appeared. That was the last thing I remembered before everything went black.

The last and only thing I knew right now was that Jeremy was dead. That our first time together, our moments we had together would be the last time we did anything together. He was gone and I couldn't help him. I couldn't save him and I let Katherine Pierce fool me into thinking she was my uncles girlfriend. How stupid could I possibly be
