Chapter 6

The next morning I woke up for the first time ever through an alarm clock and now I get why people hate them so much. They rip you out of your beautiful dreams and into ice cold reality. I groaned, but then jumped out of bed and got dressed really fast. I went for a summer look, since it was somehow still summer. I chose a bright blue ripped jeans and a top with flower prints on it. I then went into my bathroom and decided to curl my hair a little, so I used vampire speed to be done faster. I then went for a summer make up, then brushed my teeth. I took a bracelet and put it on my wirst, then checked the ring on my right ring finger and tried the water off.

I then took a deep breath, my phone and hurried downstairs in my beige heels. "Morning people" I said and was also a little confused that they were already awake. "You're taking me, right Jer?" I asked and he nod with a full mouth. "Thanks" I said and went to the fridge and got a joghurt out. "You are gonna get full from just a joghurt?" He asked and I smiled and opened the fridge again "Who said I was gonna eat just one? Besides in this cup ain't coffee, it's blood" I explained holding both things up. I then closed the fridge with one foot and put the coffee cup and the joghurt on the counter and ate the rest of the open joghurt, then threw it away and started the next one.

5 minutes later I threw that one away and grabbed the cup and put it into my bag and looked at Jeremy. "Ready to go?" I asked and he got up and walked towards me, but his arm around me and lead me outside and to his car. "Who owns that expensive car?" He asked as he opened the door for me and I got inside "That's mine" I said and he looked at me. "And you are okay with driving in this dump to school?" He asked and I nod "Yes! I like it when it's not so luxurious. Fail if you only own expensive stuff" "You can always give it away" He said and I rolled my eyes "But then I would have nothing left" I told him and he got onto the driver's seat.

He started the car and we drove of the Salvatore proberty, onto the road and into Mystic Falls. "Is high school here scary?" I asked him. "If you find it scary to go to school with vampires and werewolves and witches, then it is scary" He said and I sighed. "I'm a vampire myself, so not scared of those" I explained and looked out the window. "You are a weird little girl" He laughed and I looked back at him "I'm older than you, you know!" I told him. Only about 100 years, more than 100 years.

Finally we arrived at school and Jeremy stopped the car and both of us got out. "Welcome to Mystic Falls High" He said and lead me to the stairs that lead inside. "Oh and you might wanna stay away from a certain blonde" He told me and I nod "And I'm pretty sure I know who you mean" "Of course I do. Already am her favorite victim and I didn't even start school yet" I said as I walked up the stairs. "Hey Jeremy" Serena said flirty and I only was able to roll my eyes since she was so ridiculous. "Serena, I told you to stop it! I already have a girlfriend, so it would be really great of you to just leave me alone" Jeremy said and I was a little confused, but tried to hide that.

"Who?" She asked, crossing her arms in front of her chest. Suddenly Jeremy put his arm around me and pulled me a bit closer. "You want me to believe that you are dating the new girl?" She asked and he reacted to that and pulled me closer, leaned in and kissed me on the lips. I was surprised, but kissed him back. Also I hoped that my blood lust won't come while being so close to his neck. It felt like hours, but after a few seconds he pulled away, let his arm around me and walked off with me. "I'm sorry" He whispered, but I was still too confused to answer straight "Ehm... No... I mean... Okay... I'm okay... I'm okay with it" I somehow managed to get out.

"You don't sound okay" He said and removed his arm. "I'm okay! I just a little confused. No, not confused. Surprised. I'm surprised" I said and tried to avoid looking at him. "You seem confused to me" He said and I groaned. "I'm not confused, just surprised and I wanna get to class on time since I wanna become an A+ student and be valedictorian somehow, so please just show me where my class is" I defended myself and also tried to avoid the situation. He seemed a bit weirded out and confused, less than I was, but still confused and showed me the way to my first class.

I was about to enter the room, when a girl looked deep into my eyes "Follow me!" She commanded, more like she compelled me or tried to. I just followed her, so she won't notice that I'm not human. I followed her outside to the back of the school, where the students usually go to smoke. She then turned around, her face already changed and her fangs out. "What are you doing?" I asked, faked my fear and took a step back. She then suddenly ran towards me and wanted to bite me in the neck, but I was faster and bit into her neck. "Ouch! What the hell?!" She yelled and held her neck, where still blood was coming out. "You don't just go around and bite random people in the neck!" I told her upset.

"In my defense I thought you were human. I would have just erased your memory and nobody would have known" She said and I actually smirked at her attitude. "So that's how you roll? Go around, compelling people, bite their necks and and erase their memories?" "It's not like they would have known about" She said as if it was the most normal thing in the world. "So, who are you?" I asked the blonde opposite of me "Landry Danson" She introduced herself in her confident, yet cold voice. "Mandy" I said and she kept looking at me "I have never seen you here before. This is my territory!" She said and stepped towards me, looking like she was ready for a fight. "Well, actually it's mine, you know. Since my father is part of the founding families" I told her, not showing any fear.

"I like you" She suddenly said "We should hang out sometimes" "I don't know if I want to" I told her, but I have a feeling she didn't take no for an answer. "I know you want to" She said and walked passed me into the school building. I turned around and followed her. Well, we were already late for class, but I didn't care. We went inside and Landry compelled him to forget that she was late, while I told him how sorry I was and that I had trouble finding the room. He accepted my apology and let me sit down.
