"Would you like some wine? I'd like to tell you about Jenny before we do anything else," Lindsey kissed her

Stevie nodded, but first went to check on the kids

They were both fast asleep, Evie's head pointing toward the end of the bed.

"Oh Evie..." Stevie giggled and swivelled her child around so her head was back on the pillow

"She reminds me so much of you," Lindsey said from the doorway, two glasses of wine in his hand

"Beautiful, and sweet, and a messy sleeper. Anything but stupid."

"I would die for her" she suddenly said seriously, stoking Evie's hair

"I would too," he approached the bed

"Yeah well we need to discuss that too"

"Come on," he led her into the living room and handed her a glass of wine

Taking a sip of it, she folded her legs underneath herself as she sat on the couch

Lindsey sat next to her and wrapped his arm around her, kissing the top of her head, "Where should we start."

"Where ever you want to" she told him

"Jenny," he told her, watching Stevie's fingers tighten on her wine glass

"I met her in the homeless shelter when I was looking for you, she was a volunteer." Stevie thought it was ironic that he fell in love with someone whilst looking for his love

"I bought her a coffee later to say thank you for helping me, we really hit it off. I don't want to make you uncomfortable with detail so I'll explain it this way, I walked her home, a few weeks later she told me that she was pregnant and nine months later David was born."

"Were you in love with her?" Stevie asked, running finger round the rim of the glass

"Yes, to a certain extent, but it was nothing compare to how I love you."

"Linds, it's alright if it was, you don't have to play it down"

"You couldn't help but not love her, she was so kind to everyone. I watched her take her coat off in the pouring rain and give it to a homeless person, she was five months pregnant!"

"She sounded really special...I can see why if she was still here you wouldn't want me" she smiled weakly

"She knew that you would always come first and it doesn't come down to not wanting you, it's loyalty."

"I understand Lindsey, but I just don't understand how you can want me so much right now, but if she was still here you wouldn't...I'm just struggling to grasp it"

"I would want you, I just wouldn't cheat on her."

"I don't think I'll ever understand but I'll try"

"I asked her to marry me when she told me that she was pregnant."

"I...I wish she was still here for you..."
