It had been a week since the big fight, Jimmy had been sending a note each day to give Stevie a countdown of how long she had to make her decision, she just opened her three days one...Lindsey had no idea and she wanted to keep it that way
"Three more days till we'll be together." The note read, a smiley face drawn on the paper, Stevie crumpled it up quickly and threw it in the trash.
"What was that, baby?" Lindsey walked in
"Just a junk ad" she said quickly.
"Oh," he shrugged, "hey, I was thinking that since my job is only part time...I could get a second job full time and you could stay home?"
"No, I would like to get my own job, I've got to much time on my hands otherwise"
"But what about David?"
"I told you, we can have split shifts"
"I don't want you to work, baby. I can take care of all of us."
"Why can't I work honey?" She asked him holding his hand
"Because I can do it. I want to do it," Lindsey kissed her forehead, "I don't want you to stress about anything, just stay home and relax."
"I'm not a doll, baby, I'm capable of working" she pulled him in for a kiss
"I know that. We will talk more about this tonight," he kissed her chastely
"Why tonight?" She wrapped her arms around him
"We won't have to worry about being interrupted by the kids."
"Sounds like your planning on more than the talk of why I can't work" she raised her eyebrow
"Well," he shrugged
"Well what?" She teased nudging his hip
"If you wanted something more to happen I wouldn't be opposed to that," he smirked
"No I bet you wouldn't"
"Definitely not," Lindsey gently wrapped his arms around her waist, "How is your pain level today?"
"Better than it has been thank you, I want to try and pick David up by myself today" she told him
"Are you sure?"
"I miss holding my boy" she said sadly
"I can definitely tell he's gaining weight."
"I'm glad I could help your son" she smiled
"Our son."
"Our son" she agreed, and as if on cue they heard him start to cry
"I'll bring him to you," Lindsey let go of her and walked toward the bedroom
"No, Lindsey I'll do it!" She hurried to him
"Are you sure? I'll go with you incase you can't."
"You can stand by the cot but let me lift him" she asked
"I will," Lindsey rubbed her back and walked into the bedroom
Stevie walked over to David, she leaned over the cot and placed a hand under his head and one under his bottom, and tried to lift him
"I have you," Stevie cooed as she lifted him against her chest
"Mommy's got you baby..." she held the back of his head and rocked side to side with him
"You did it, babe." Lindsey gloated
"I know!" She looked at him with tears in her eyes, he walked over and snaked his arm round her middle from behind. "See, Mommy is better!"
