After getting the kids up and dressed, they took them down to the park, each parent was pushing one of the children, Lindsey of course having Evie
"I think it's funny how our kids like the parent that isn't biological better."
"I know! It's so weird isn't it!"
Lindsey chuckled "Oh well."
"David does love you though Lindsey" Stevie said seriously
"I know he does."
Sitting down on a bench, they let Evie go and play with the other kids, keeping an eye on her they started to talk
"Do you feel okay?"
"How do you mean?"
"Physically."
"To be honest, no, not really"
"What's wrong?"
"I just hurt everywhere, I cramp all the time" Stevie told him
"I'll take you to the doctor."
"I'm sure everything will be fine"
"What kind of cramping?"
"Like here..." she placed her hand just under her bump
"Does it hurt bad?"
"Sometimes I can't move..."
"I'll call the doctor and make you an appointment."
"I've been before, they don't tell me anything"
"It has to be for a reason."
"They just tell me it's because I work so much"
"Well you aren't going to work anymore."
"Yeah..." she said watching Evie and running he belly
"We'll be okay."
Stevie nodded
"So you want to hear about mom?"
"Yeah."
"Ask away!"
"What happened..."
"She kept telling me you weren't coming back, because I was horrible to live with, and I was psychotic"
"I would never have imagined that she was like that," Lindsey said
"Me either...she called our babies bad names"
"What did she say about our children?"
"She said she didn't know how we could love and look after each other's...bastards..."
Lindsey fumed
"It's okay Lindsey..." she tried to soothe him
"No it isn't!"
"I cried for so long...then she brought Jimmy up and I lost it"
"That bitch..."
"Lindsey, it's done with..."
"No."
"No what?"
"I won't let this go."
"We know that you love our Evie"
"But she had the nerve to say that!"
"I know...I don't know what I did wrong..." she told him sadly
"You did nothing."
"Daddy didn't even try and stop her..." Stevie had tears in her eyes
"You have me now."
