A few days later, Stevie was a little concerned because Lindsey hadn't come back to Phoenix
She had tried calling him multiple times but to her defeat there was no answer
"What's up Tee?" Barbara asked seeing her daughter struggling with her emotions
"Mommy," Stevie's voice sounded so small, "I think Lindsey went back to Lisa."
"What? Why would he go back to her? He said he was just getting his things didn't he?"
"That was days ago!"
"Have you called?"
"Yes, several times but I never get an answer."
Barbara walked over to the phone and dialed Lindsey's number
Eventually Lindsey answered, "Hello?"
"Lindsey...it's mom..." Stevie stopped and looked at her mother
"Barbara?"
"Yeah"
"Why are you calling me?"
"Because Stevie is frantic because you haven't come home yet, and won't answer her calls"
"Let me speak to her."
"Tee, Lindsey wants to speak to you" she held the phone out and Stevie rushed to it
"Hello?!"
"Hey baby."
"Lindsey, where are you?"
"Home. David has the flu..."
"Oh my baby! Why didn't you answer my calls? Or phone me? Lindsey why didn't you call?" She cried, feeling stupid
"He's really sick. I've been taking him to the doctor daily- he's got a really bad case."
"I'll come to you"
"No. I got it."
"No, I'll come and help you look after him"
"Babe he's getting better, he'll be fine in a few days."
"Where's Lisa?" Stevie suddenly said
"At her place I guess."
"Lindsey, tell me right now, where's Lisa?" He was suddenly very silent
"Lindsey," she gritted
"Okay, she's here..." he sighed
"Has she been there the whole time?"
"Steph..."
"Answer me!"
"She was here when I got back..."
"Have you slept with her?"
"Stevie, stop"
"Did you have sex with her, Lindsey?"
"Stevie don't ask me that!"
"Why won't you answer?"
"Because it's a stupid question"
"Put her on the phone!"
"I don't think that's a good idea."
"Then don't come home...."
"Stevie, please"
"All you have to do is answer my question!"
"I didn't"
"I trust you."
"Have you told her your done yet?" She asked after
"I have."
