In the middle of the night he felt someone climb into bed with him
He felt two arms wrap around him, and realised it was Stevie
"Steph?" He turned to face her
"Yeah, it's me baby" she leaned it to kiss him
Lindsey sat up quickly, "You aren't going to touch me until I get some answers."
"What...?" She questioned, trying to hold him
"Is there a possibility that, that baby is Jimmy's?" He pointed to her stomach
"What?" She stared at him
"Could the baby be Jimmy's?!" He raised his voice
"Don't yell at me...I've just driven five hundred miles to get here!"
"Don't pull that shit right now. Tell me."
"Why are you asking me?"
"Stephanie! Tell me!" He stood up
"It's yours, Lindsey" she tried to hold his hand
"I want a paternity test."
"Are you serious?" She asked, hurt
"How do I know that you aren't lying to me?!" He asked
"Lindsey, please..."
"Stevie, no."
"What's he told you?" She asked
"Enough to make me second guess my feelings."
"Your feelings?"
"About being happy for this baby. I will not raise another one of his children."
"No! You are not going to do this to me again!" She cried
"What do you want me to do?!" Lindsey threw up his hands, "Jimmy said that you went to him because you thought that it was his! Which leads me to another question....how far along are you?"
"I don't know..." she told him
"Don't bullshit me." He pointed at her
"I don't know Lindsey, the test doesn't tell you does it!"
"Is it true though that you went to Jimmy?"
"No!"
"You better not be lying to me, Stephanie," he sat on the bed
"Lindsey...Please don't do this again
"I can't take this again, Steph."
"You did fine the first time..."
"Did you really just say that?" He shook his head in disbelief
"Linds, that's not what I meant..." she did her best to try and hug him
"I still want a paternity test." He put his hands up, not wanting her any closer to him
"You want me to go home?" She asked
"I don't know what I want."
"She's yours Lindsey"
"I can't trust that, I need proof."
"You believe him, over me?"
"No, but I know that you slept with him when you lived together, so that possibility always lingers."
"And what if it is?" She asked worried
"Then like you said, maybe it's best if we split up," he bit his lip
