Lindsey was now at home recovering, it had been over a month since the accident, his speech was still an issue but he was getting there
He depended on a wheelchair to get around as his legs were shaky but Stevie was helping him work on his walking
Evie was getting annoyed with him more often for not being able to play or have big conversations
Stevie had tried to explain to her the situation but she couldn't understand
"Can we play ball now daddy?" She asked
"S-sorry," Lindsey shook his head
"You aren't a very good daddy anymore..." she stomped her foot
"Evie!" Stevie yelled
"What? He won't play with me!"
"He can't, not yet."
"Erh, fine" she huffed
"I'm sorry, Lindsey."
He just shrugged and looked away with tears in his eyes
"She didn't mean it." Stevie kneeled in front of him
"I...I'm u...use..less" he got out finally
"You absolutely are not! You help dress the kids and feed them and you hold Andrew when I'm helping David and Evie. Don't ever say that you are useless," she kissed him chastely
"I...can't...pl...play...! I can't m...ake...love...to you..." he cried
"You can make love! You are just telling yourself that you can't!"
"I...couldn't...sat...isfy...you...la...st time" he looked away
"I'm going to take the kids over to Anna's. when I get back we are having a talk," she said sternly as she rounded up the kids
"Where are we going mommy?" Evie asked
"You are going to play with Anna for a little while"
"Really?!" She asked excitedly
"Yep!"
Taking the kids she dropped them all with Anna, telling her she would pick them up in a few hours
Entering the apartment she found Lindsey right where she had left him.
"Right, now we talk!" She said
"What's there to talk about?" He shrugged
"T-the t...truth?"
"It's not the truth Lindsey!"
Shrugging he wiped a tear out of his eye.
"Why would you think that?"
"I-I can't d...do anything!"
"Yes you can Lindsey!"
"No!"
"Why did you say you couldn't satisfy me last time?"
"I-I can't."
"Why? We did alright last time"
"You w-weren't satisfied."
"I was..." she looked around nervously
"No," he shook his head
"Baby, I was! Why do you think I wasn't?"
"Y-you f...faked."
"What...?"
"I know y...you did."
