THEN
It's raining.
Emman and Allison are on their way to the orphanage when it started pouring rain. "Hay. summer na summer tapos umuulan. Okay ka lang ba diyan, ate Alison?" Emman asked as they settled at a nearby shade.
Alison wasn't paying attention because of the noise she's hearing. Allison pressed her index finger on her lips and said, "Quiet. I hear something from afar."
Emman was always astonished by her sister's ability. "Hmm. Trying to test how far you can hear? Ano naman naririnig mo ngayon, Ate?"
"A baby. Naririnig mo ba yon?" Allison could hear the baby's cry even louder. Before Emman could react, Allison is already rushing to the Jefferson alley without an umbrella.
Allison called out for the baby even if it's pointless. "Baby? Baby? BABY?!" She was shocked to see the baby crying...almost swallowing the raindrops. Lying on the gutter helplessly.
"Hush. Don't cry. Baby. Hush." she whispered as she held it on her chest. She tried to calm the baby down but to no luck. And then she felt more heavy raindrops pouring on her shoulder.
"Naku. Naku, baby magkakasakit tayo nito. Let's go." She had no choice but to ran hugging the baby on her chest as the rain started to pour heavily.
"Thank God, ate. Nakabalik ka at ano yan sanggol?"Alison had gone back to the bus stop where she left Emman.
"Obviously.
"Hala! Anong gagawin natin?" Emman asked but only received a glare from Alison.
"Gusto mo ba kantahan kita? Hmm? Twinkle twinkle little star how I wonder what you are. Up above the world so high,l ike a diamond in the sky. Twinkle, twinkle, little star, How I wonder what you are..."
"Nagustuhan mo ba, baby?" Tumawa ang sanggol. They both looked up at the gray sky turning bright sky blue revealing a blazing sun. They smiled and then the baby laughed.
"Ate, yang ngiti mo alam ko ibig sabihin niyan."
"Gusto mo bang sumama samin, baby? Tara may pupuntahan tayo- wala ka pa nga palang pangalan. Umm ano kaya? Amber? Crystal? Ruby? Ano ba?"
"Summer Rain, how's that Ate?"
"Summer Rain? Maganda, maganda. Pero iba ang naisip ko. Miracle Rain. Ano sa tingin mo?"
"Miracle Summer Rain.
"Okay then, we have our own Miracle Summer Rain. Let's go?"

NOW
a/n: Poem Spoiler >__<
Lumaking di kilala ang magulang tunay,
Nakipagsapalaran sa agos ng buhay,
Sa ibang tao nadama ang di naibigay,
Ang pagmamahal na mayroong kulay.
Hindi alam kung saan patungo ang agos,
Nakakakilala ng kakampi sa unos,
May nagmamasid sa bawat kilos,
Ngunit hindi diyan nagtatapos.
Tunay na pag-ibig susubukin,
Kung hanggang saan ang kakayanin.
Marami man ang dumating,
Sa kanya pa rin siya babalik.
Dalawang taong pinagtagpo,
"Hi, I am Miracle Summer Rain Jefferson, and this is my story."
