The night on the island wasn't as bad when one of the Amazon showed me my room; it was big from what I was used to. A woman handed me a pair of new clothes.
"Thank you ... um." I responded trying to know her name.
"My name is Ayra."She answered with a smile I smiled back at her taking the clothes; she showed me to the bathroom to see some woman were filling the giant bathtub with warm water.
"After your bath the queen wants you to join her and princess Diana for dinner." She explained walking away with the others following behind her. I undressed and dropped my clothes into a basket and slipped inside the warm bathtub. I checked my arms and legs to see bruises already forming the water lessened my pain. I laid my head back letting the water consume me, sinking me deeper into the bathtub; my muscles relaxed. A few bubbles escaped my mouth after a couple of minutes; I lifted myself back to the surface washing the sand from my arms with a wet rag. I grabbed a towel and took the clothes that Ayra gave me. She gave me a white short flowing gown with a pair of leather slippers. I looked at myself in the mirror, wishing I had a hair straightener to straighten my curls; a knock came from my door. I opened it and it was Ayra.
"Oh miss Grayson everyone is waiting for your arrival." She explained; I nodded walking out the door as she led me outside. I walked along side her.
"The dress looks wonderful on you." She commented; I gave her a small smile.
"Thank you; I'm not always one for wearing dresses." I admitted; she looked almost shocked.
"Why? You look beautiful with your curls." She continued.
"You sound like my mother when I complained about my hair being too curly."I blurted out before I could take it back.
"Where is your mother?" She asked; I stopped in my tracks to look at her.
"I would like to think my mother and father are somewhere happy." I responded.
"Then may the gods bless your parents." She offered I shook my head and started to walk again.
"I'm sorry; I don't mean any disrespect, but I doubt your Greek gods could bring them happiness. Not until I find the man responsible for taking their lives."I confessed; she didn't seem surprise about what I said.
"I understand; I hope that you'll take the man's life and I pray that you find him." She praised. Why can't Maggie be like her?
"Thank you, Ayra." I agreed; she led us through a hall with many paintings. I looked up at the ceiling in amazement; the ceiling was painted beautifully.
"Miss Grayson." Ayra called I looked back to find her in front of a large stone door; we both entered a large dinning room.
"Welcome, Miss Grayson; I'm Queen Hippolyta and you have already met my daughter, Diana." She introduced beside me Ayra knelt down with her head down, but I didn't; the same red head from this morning rose from her seat.
"You will kneel to the Queen!" She ordered, I just stood my ground but the queen rose her hand to silence her.
"Be calm Artemis; she wasn't raise to follow our ways." The queen reminded her. I bowed my head.
"Thank you, your highness for inviting me for dinner." I thanked; she smiled and pointed at an empty seat next to her.
"Please sit by me." She requested I went by her side and sat down. The queen sat down and everyone followed as dinner was served; I searched for Hellhound.
"She's been summon back to Mount Justice." Diana mentioned I got worried and she notice my expression.
"Do not worry I assure you that your brother is safe; some problems arose in Gotham." She reassured me.
