Chapter 9: Life is painful.

Blue's Pov

I couldn't feel anything I couldn't even think for how badly my body hurt. When I jumped in the water; I couldn't swim through the currents; it just took more of my blood to filled the water. I felt someone grabbed me then the cool wind hit my wet face. I coughed out loudly throwing up all the water that I've swallowed .

"Take deep breaths, Blue; it's alright just breathe."Selina ordered I did what I was told but even breathing hurt so bad. I opened my eyes but my right eye couldn't open wide enough. I guess it was badly damaged; I smelled the scent of leather meaning I was at the back seat of a car. Roxanne held my hand on her lap; she smiled down at me. I gasped as flashes of what happened played in my mind; I hid my face and cried.

"I'm sorry!" Roxanne pulled my face back gently and wiped my hair back. I saw her fingers stained with blood.

"I'm dying aren't I?"I questioned Roxanne looked at Selina but they didn't answer; we continued driving in silence. Dawn was peeking through the long and tall buildings of Gotham Wayne interprises stood the tallest out of the rest of them.

"I saw Bruce Wayne at the party."I mentioned casually trying to lighten the mood. Through the windows I can see that we were leaving the city.

"Selina where are we going?"I asked trying to sit up I struggled but Roxanne helped me.

"We're getting Helena and we're leaving the city." I couldn't believe this. "Stop the car. Selina and go to my apartment. I need my things." I said with my voice shaking; she still kept driving. I took out my dagger from my boot and held it against her throat .

"Do it now!" I demanded. She listened and headed back to Gotham; we reached my apartment and headed upstairs. Both Selina and Roxanne held my arms and dragged me to the couch to my surprise Ted and Helena were there. They both settled me down on the couch Selina took Helena from Ted's arm and went into my room to keep her away from me. Good I didn't want her to see me like this. Ted got my first aid kit from my bathroom and unzipped my suit.

"Jesus, kid what the hell happened to you!" He gasped, I simply grinned at him. "Got in a fight." He stitched me up as best as he could but he couldn't do anything about my head injury nor my broken bones. I pointed at my closet.

"There's my duffle bag everything you'll need is in there." Selina came back confused though she went to my duffle bag and took out stacks of bills that I have hidden in there.

"What do you mean Blue? You're coming with us." She declared I chuckled and shook my head.

"I can't this time boss, I just need you to promise me that when I die . . . please don't think that me dying is your fault." I begged she knelt down next to the couch and stared at me.

"Blue we can save you."She said, I shook my head and showed them the tracking device that I found attached to me.

 "I found this on my suit when we got here; they'll probably be here in a hour at the best so you've got enough time to leave Gotham."I explained sitting up and crushing the small device so that the signal can be locked here. They all understood and took the bag; Helena came to say goodbye. I covered myself with a blanket.

"Aunty Blu, you ain't coming?"She asked, I hugged her close then kissed the top of her head.

"No, not this time . . . I'm sorry."I whimpered then handed her to back to Selina; Roxanne hugged me. I frown and slid my gun into her hand as a parting gift.

"Roxanne I need you to protect them. Can you do that?" She smiled with tears coming down her face.

"You know I will."She said I hugged her then it was Selina's turn she was already crying. I wipe her tears away.

"Hey, don't cry . . . you taught me never to cry."I reminded. She laughed while shaking her head looking down at her Catwoman mask; she put the mask back my face and hugged me tight. I hugged her back.

"Don't go down without a fight." She whispered I nodded and let go. Ted wasn't the type to say goodbyes but I can see the hurt in his eyes.

"Hey, big man you know. I never got to thank you for all that you did-." I started but he did something; I never thought that he'll go he kissed the top of my head and hugged me close.

"Wow the great Wild Cat hugged a street brat like me. I guess I should be surprised." I joked. He laughed lightly and looked back at me.

"Kid, you are one of the best students that I ever taught; thank you for teaching me that there's some things in this life worth fighting for again." I laughed back in the day when Ted took me off the street; I always gave him lectures about being a hero, sadly I started to drift apart from my belief in many things god and the people that you are suppost to trust.

"Ted can you do me a favor before you go."I asked he nodded " Sure,kid anything"He said I ask him to put my favorite song on "Stay"by rihanna and my family picture I heard the door shut as Ted left I was really weak I checked my pockets for a cigarette luckly I had one as I lit the cigarette I already heard them coming I smiled and exhaled the smoke the windows broke as Batman and his team barged in my apartment they all surround me I just grinned widely.

"This is gonna be fun"I thought happily
