Chapter 25: Mission

Cristina's Pov:

The crowd cheered as Blue's team was in the league in the games.

"Blue's team to have proven the task at hand." Diana approved while I leaned back against the throne, catching a quick glance of Dick as he watched his sister with worry.

I, myself was the same when Daniela first entered a kendo tournament.

You were right about her. Daniela mentioned. I smiled slightly.

She still has a long way to go, Daniela. I told her in mind link. Like Jo'nn and Me'gann that share telepathic communication. Our family is link to each other's minds but also used in a pack as well.

Meaning another test. She noted. I chuckled.

Yes, you're right about that. I admitted, watching how Blue deflected a spear with her mighty shield.

Damn, your God son has a stick up his ass. She commented.

Quiet, Daniela; the same happen to us in training. I reminded her as the two of us shared the memory before our very eyes to see us training as children in Japan under Gramps's teachings

Yeah, I remember ... it was so long ago, huh?

Yes, it has Daniela but this is our new life in this realm with new friends. I assured her.

I had a friend ... but death took him away. She stated with sadness in her voice.

I frown at the memory of that horrid day. Suddenly in the mix of the excited arena. The roar of an animal echoed throughout the Island, interrupting the cheering and went to compete dead silence.

Blue's POV:

"Sounds like a familiar foe, naña." Daniela mentioned within the shadows of the setting sun.

Suddenly Hellhound disappeared from my sight and reappeared on top of the pillar with a dark shadow on her shoulder. What made it even more shocking was that her eyes were not human as they glowed bright red. I got up with the rest of the Amazons on alert waiting for another sound of the intruder.

"Dani stand by Blue." Hellhound ordered her; I saw Daniela's shadow nodded and disappeared.

"What is it, Cristina?" Queen Hippolyta wondered out loud with a sword ready in hand.

"A Minotaur." Hellhound answered as the beast roared again, revealing himself and charged at everyone, destroying everything in it's path.

The rest of the Amazons left the arena to join in the fight. I stood frozen by the sight of a real Minotaur and there was no way that I, Blue Grayson am going to lose an opportunity to defeat one. I was about to join the fight until my body was engulfed by darkness. I wasn't scared of the darkness for it became a friend of mine who is often misjudged like me.

"Dani! Let me go! I need to help out!" I shouted, my words echoed as she reappeared from the darkness.

"No can do Blue; both my sister and that human wrench of your brother wants you to stay out of harms way __ either way I'm not the kind to follow orders like yourself." She grinned at me as she gives me a gun.

"What's-" I started until Batman appeared out of nowhere inside the shadow. I hid the gun behind me, sliding it somewhere where he won't dare look and not wanting to hear anything he has to say.

"We only have a few minutes." He explained I stayed still with my arms crossed. "Time for what?" I asked. I never really realized that Batman and Dani have an understanding relationship between them.
