Chapter 15 - Taking Care of the Junk.

“Hey, don’t talk to my sister like that!” Loyal growled at Josh.

“Shit Loyal, what am I supposed to do?  Dad’s going to freak.”

Loyal couldn’t help but smirk, just a little.  It felt nice not to have to be the bad guy for once.  Of course that didn’t mean that he wasn’t furious.  Jake for all his moody silence had obviously abused his mother’s hospitality and ignored his warnings.  Loyal glanced back to his sister crying in the back seat.  Yes Jake had clearly made some sort of move on his sister right under his nose.  And that pissed him off no end.

Josh was still snarling.  It was lucky that Loyal had been around when Josh had rushed back into the house to grab his keys.  He had seen his friend’s face and followed him to the car.  Josh didn’t say a thing.  They followed the blue smoke trail until the breeze made it too unreliable.  Then they followed the oil trail.  That car must go through a litre of oil a mile.  It was obviously the reason that they needed Kuwait and the guarantee of fossil fuel from the Middle East.  America went to war so that that piece of crap car could spew out and burn through oil like the after effects of a bad curry.  Never one to worry about economics, foreign policy or the environment, Loyal was more concerned that the car would spontaneously combust with his sister in it.  But that was before he caught on that she had taken off with Jake, and not because they had run out of milk.

He never did like Jake.  No guy should be that broody and dark.  But, despite everything, Loyal couldn’t help feeling a small degree of relief.  Given the looks he caught Jake giving him when no one was looking, he always figured Jake to be gay with a strong preference to blonde athletic men.  That scared the shit out of Loyal.  He cringed, any suggestion of Jake and anything relating to his arse made him very nervous. Hopefully that wasn’t going to be a problem now.  Also he now had justification to beat the shit - cringe, not the arse area - no, the snot out of Jake.

Loyal was still worried about Josh.  He had a huge thing for Patience.  He knew him for long enough to know that he was more than pissed.  Josh was hurt.  He finally had his chance with Patience and she runs off with Jake.  That wouldn’t do much for Josh’s ego.

He shrugged as the car pulled up outside.  They would work it out.  They were big people and she was now Josh’s responsibility, big smile, not his.  They would have to work it out.

A large white van was parked on the front lawn.  Damn Serenity.  He jumped out of the car and left Josh and Patience to sort themselves out, as he stormed into the house.

“Serenity, get these fuck-wits to move their van, they’re wrecking the freaking grass.”

Serenity stopped midsentence and looked at Loyal confused.  Then all the lights, the camera’s and the dead rodent on a stick swung towards Loyal.

“If you retards have squashed my bulbs I will fcuking slash your tyres.”

“You have to excuse Loyal,” Serenity giggled nervously, “He takes his gardening seriously.  Loyal, honey, Randy Orton is just about to leave.”

“I don’t care if,” Loyal scoffed at Serenities companion, “Frank-N-Furter is showing you the ‘secret to life itself’!  They need to move their van and pray that they haven’t put dents in my lawn!”

The man standing next to Serenity stepped forward.  He was extremely muscular and wearing tight lyrca shorts which hid very little.  “Frank-N-Furter? What are you trying to say lawn boy?”

“Look you aren’t the first guy that’s come down for breakfast in his jocks, but you might be the first one who’s been game enough to prance around with floral designs on his Y-fronts.”
