Dear Diary,
I just found you in the back of my closet and I remember that mom and dad gave you to me when I was younger so I would write about my feelings.
I guess I should introduce myself now. Okay, well my name is Wendy Singleton and I have had cancer since I was 5 and still have it till this very day. I'm 18 and I only have 1 year and 4 months to live now.
When I was younger I created a bucket list and it was all the activities I wanted to do before I died. I showed my parents the list and we accomplished everything. The week after that we were all rushed to hospital. But it wasn't me who was hurt.
It was my parents.
The next hour they were dead and I didn't know what to do with my life. I was lost and confused because at that age I didn't know what death meant.
I was put in to foster care and I looked for new parents and a new home. My first foster parents abused me but I was able to get out quickly. My second parents were alright but didn't loved me and I overheard them talking about throwing me out.
My third parents actually cared for me and provided everything for me. I loved them and I knew they loved me.
Time flew by quickly. First I was 5, then I was 10, and now I'm 18 in high school.
The students in my school don't know that I have Cancer. I keep it a secret and everyday at school I wear a wig to hide my extreme hair loss so no one will make fun of me being bald.
Tomorrow is my first day back from summer break and I'm still excited to see everyone. Well, that's all for today!
Sincerely,
Wendy
